Wonderful home, glorious location

Coastal Calm

This was our first stay at Sea Ranch. We loved this house, it felt fresh and updated. The well stocked kitchen was wonderful for cooking, access to the bluff trail, pool and courts was just a few minutes walk. We would rent this house again!

Wonderful getaway home

This home is beautifully situated in Sea Ranch with gorgeous views over the meadow and the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked and the rooms are comfortable. We will return!

Great place for a family

We loved that the three main bedrooms had their own bathrooms, the kitchen was very well stocked, and the Del Mar Rec Center was right across the street. Some of used the heated pool and the sauna there every day, in addition to using the hot tub at the house We also loved how easily accessible the trail hiking was, on the coast and up into the redwoods.

Family vacation

House was conveniently located near the pool and with easy access to the bluff trail. It was clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable for 2 families with young kids. Adults enjoyed the hot tub :) Hope to return!

Great Family Retreat at Coastal Calm

Coastal Calm was the perfect place for our extended family. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kkitchen as ver well stocked. The communal area was large and the kitchen/dining area open and conducive to group meals. The proximity of the Del Mar Recreation area was great for the kids who wanted to swim or play pickle ball. Just great!

Relaxing retreat!

Gorgeous home! Great views of the ocean with the occasional buck sighting in the grasses behind the house! We loved watching the sheep mowing the grass also. Pleasant walks to view the sunsets in the evening. Loved the shower tile and kitchen counters💖Really nice touches throughout! Thanks for the lovely weekend!

Incredible home, incredible location, very convenient

Coastal bliss!

This house had it all. From an unobstructed ocean view across the meadow, to the beautiful kitchen and dining area; it was the perfect Sea Ranch retreat. We especially enjoyed the beautiful California landscape photos that adorned the spacious, well-appointed house. From the dining area, we watched whale spouts while sipping our morning coffee. From the toasty hot tub, we took in the starlit sky. We look forward to returning to Coastal Calm and recommend it to anyone looking to visit Sea Ranch.

Great Sea Ranch Get-Away

This was a great place for my wife and I and our two adult children and their spouse/ partner (plus one young grandson) to spend the week. The house was spotless and well laid-out (each couple had their own bathroom). Lovely ocean views from the upstairs living / dining room. We especially liked being only a very short walk from the Del Mar pool and tennis courts. Only downsides were that we found it difficult to regulate the air temperature to everyone’s satisfaction, and we arrived to a notice that said the washing machine wasn’t working and it took a few days to sort that out. But, to be clear, we’d be very glad to stay there again — without any reservations.

Beautiful home, beautiful view

This was a gorgeous home with amazing views. Nicely decorated and new. We did have some minor issues which Vacasa staff was attentive to handle. One thing to note, three bedrooms are downstairs but the two bathrooms are in the bedrooms so the people staying in the trundle bed room need to either go into someone bedroom to use the bathroom or go upstairs to the bathroom next to the kitchen. First world problem, but it is a consideration. Bring your own ice as the ice maker is not hooked up. You will enjoy the whales, baby sea lions, sheep and coastal walks...even in the rain. Can't go wrong.

Fantastic Getaway

This house is new, in good condition, well-furnished, and very clean. There is a lovely view of the ocean. It is set within the Sea Ranch community, with access to the pool, sauna, and tennis courts (which we did not have a chance to use), as well as access to all the walking trails and beaches, which we did enjoy. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The house arrangement is a kitchen/dining/living area plus one bedroom and a hall bath on the upper floor and two bedrooms with en-suite baths and one bedroom without a bath (more suited for kids) on the lower floor. This arrangement is slightly more awkward for a group of friends than it would be for a family, but we worked it out. All communication was through the app, but we didn't have any problems, so that was fine. Two grocery stores and a few restaurants are only a few minutes away by car.

Enjoyed the Coastal Calmness

The home was clean and comfortable and the furnishings were comfortable as well, including the beds. The kitchen was organized and well stocked with cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils. I appreciated reading a review that mentioned that the ice maker in the freezer was not connected, so we planned to bring our own ice. The hot tub was enjoyable, but a bit on the small side for a home of that size. Sea Ranch provides an excellent home base for the many activities we pursued, a tour of the B. Bryan Preserve, a visit to Bowling Ball Beach, and Kayak Mendocino, as well as the many local shops and nearby art galleries. We enjoyed the Sea Ranch amenities, including the sauna and the swimming pool. The downstairs bedroom with the trundle bed would work well for children, but was not comfortable accommodations for an adult. The views are nice and we enjoyed viewing birds, deer, and an occasional fox but the nightly visits from raccoons accessing the trash can, caused us to have to pick up scattered trash around the property each morning. Overall the home suited the majority of our needs and we would probably stay there again.

Lovely place to stay. Some oddities.

We've been coming to The Sea Ranch for 23 years. This is a good brand new house. Location is great. Short walk to the bluff trail. Across the street from the Del Mar Rec Center. We could not hear the highway. Spacious rooms. Walls thin. Kitchen is both beautiful and odd. Grand countertops. Cabinets cheap and funky (like construction was rushed at the end and done haphazardly). The dishwasher was not secured to the underside of the countertop, so it tips forward when you open a drawer that is full. Not dangerous but an example of some shoddy workmanship that feels like it was rushed. Great layout. Lots of pots, pans, etc, well stocked. Living space is great. Outdoor deck. Comfortable living room couch. Elegant dining room (though the chandelier is way too low and we would bump our heads on it sometimes when rising). Lovely artwork throughout. Some oddities with doors that should have been hung the other way or with light switches oddly placed. Beds comfortable. Pillows not so much (bring your own). Bathrooms elegant. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a plumbing drain pipe running exposed. Very odd. And sometimes noisy for that bedroom. Electric charger for EV car greatly appeciated. Hot tub flawless and with great ocean view. New laminated floors are squishy in places. Heating/cooling simple and well done.

Great Place for Family Vacation

The place was lovely and clean. There was adequate space for our group of 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Hot tub was a big hit, as well as trails to walk. Kitchen has pretty much anything that you may need. Close to Gualala to shop. Highly recommend this property!
