Great Place to Stay

We loved the quiet at the Blue Heron. We walked the trail and beaches, cooked dinners in, and enjoyed the hot tub. Sea Ranch is a beautiful area, large with a diverse environment, from beaches, meadows, and forest. Unbelievably beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron. The house was beautiful and the location spectacular. We especially liked the window seat/daybed and the well-stocked library with plenty of books, even for kids! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking a nice meal. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again at some point!

A perfect place!

This lovely home is perfect for one or two couples. The open living and kitchen areas provide amazing natural lighting with gorgeous views of the ocean and sunsets. The home is conveniently close to both golf and Gualala. This was our second time staying here and won't be our last.

Home Away from Home

We love this house with its gracious open plan, views to the sea in both directions and a short walk to the coastal bluff trail. This is our third time staying here.

This house ticked so many boxes: clean, well-located with great lines of sight, easy access to amenities that resonated with us, great service from Vacasa on a minor issue upon arrival, well-equipped kitchen for someone who likes to cook, etc. I look forward to many happy returns to Blue Heron.

Blue Heron a cook's retreat

We just spent a few nights at Blue Heron, and we were delighted at how well the kitchen was stocked to support cooking some great meals. We really loved the location and the two porches which gave us perfect morning coffee sipping sun or late afternoon sundowner cocktail warmth. We highly recommend the property which also includes Level 2 EV charging which is a huge advantage for anyone making the long drive to Sea Ranch in an EV.

Fantastic house

Our family had a great stay here and the kids are already begging to come back. The house itself is lovely - bright, comfortable and well-appointed, with views all around. We enjoyed the nearby beach, spotting deer and other wildlife, and exploring up and down the coast. Soaking in the hot tub at the end of the day was the icing on the cake. It’s quite a magical spot!

Pristine beach home

We loved the hot tub, pristine and comfortable house, the views, the sound of the waves, the stars at night, the easy location to the beaches and bluff trail, the well stocked kitchen and the comfy beds. All furniture, including outdoor furniture was nice. It was a very well-maintained and beautiful home.

Great location!!

House is in a great location with access to bluff trail and beaches. Only a few minutes drive to lodge or to Gualala. The kitchen had all necessary tool and spices for cooking. Everything was clean and orderly. Only issue we had during stay was with Bose sound not working. Would definitely stay here again.

The Blue Heron is a true Sea Ranch gem. It is in superb condition, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The home includes literally everything you need for a comfortable and gourmet-style sojourn. We have stayed here numerous times and were particularly impressed this stay with the cleanness of all of the windows--which is a chore anytime of year! The location is great: close to Gualala but still quite secluded. Finally, the neighbors are wonderful! In short, we most highly recommend the Bue Heron. Roger and Pat

Sea Ranch perfection

Blue Heron is an excellent choice for enjoying the stunning nature of Sea Ranch. The home's location is perfect, just a few steps from the bluff trail and Walk On beach. The home itself has an open floor plan with a high ceiling and walls of glass that bring the outside in. Amenities are excellent, including a level 2 EV charger (J1772) in the driveway, which is very convenient if you drive electric, as public chargers are few and far between in the area. We've stayed at Blue Heron several times, and hope to visit again soon.

This was an amazing property We will 100% return. Rooms were spacious and the overall flow of the house was perfect. Plenty of room in the kitchen for serious cooking. Also, kitchen has everything you’ll need. Hot tub was clean and worked perfectly for dark sky star viewing. Blue and white water views from the house. No sense of any other people nearby.

Great place.

An airy modern home by the sea with fireplace, hot tub, and modern kitchen. We’ve stayed a couple of times. Only drawback is that Vacasa services are all managed remotely so you’ve got to go up to Gualala to pick up your parking and recreation passes. Check in at 4:00pm is a bit late and check out at 10:00 am means it’s difficult to fully enjoy your first evening or last morning. They sometimes offer you early check in but not until it’s too late to get there in time to take advantage of it. Sometimes late check out for a fee is available on your last day. You get notice the prior day.

Beautiful, airy home by the sea

Vaulted wood beam ceilings throughout; abundant windows and skylights bring the outside in; great views of the ocean and surrounding meadows; well equipped kitchen; close to beaches and bluff trail. Last but not least, features a level 2 electric car charger in the driveway (J1772 connector).
