What a beautiful place

The cabin was super cute and cozy ! It was difficult locating the specific space, and unfortunately we didnt get our check in instructions until an hour after check in. My guests had to call and I had to try and locate the companies information (which wasnt super helpful). Super super cute though!

Perfect getaway
We had such an awesome time staying here. The host are great people and have a beautiful cabin and property. The cabin is cozy, functional and clean. The beds were so comfy and we slept so good at night. There is a pretty good sized back porch as well as a fire pit, with supplied wood, in the back that the kids cooked hotdogs and burnt marshmallows over an open fire. We really enjoyed our stay and when we venture back this way we will for sure stay here.

Wonderful hunter's lodge
This cabin is a great place to hunker down during a winter storm. A powerful wood stove and modern heating alternatives for when you don't tend it. It is really well maintained while being cozy. Wifi is solid and all utilities are modern.

This place was a great place ! We went to Acadia and the drive was a pleasant one from this location. The host are very pleasant. The place was clean, warm and perfect for our family of 4. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kids enjoyed the outdoors as well as the loft . Thanks again for hosting us :-)

Real Maine Experience
Searsport isn't on the top 5 list of places in Maine, but it was exactly what we were looking for. It was just over an hour to Bar Harbor, 45 min the other way to Camden, 1.5 hours to Acadia... and for the rest of the trip, we had 3 different state parks within 15 minutes, blueberry picking just down the road, and excellent dining. If you want to experience off-the-beaten-path Maine, this place is great! The accomodations were perfect for us as well, and JD and Becky did an emergency load of towels for us partway through the stay.

Beautiful cozy clean cabin
The cabin is beautiful, super cozy and clean! We enjoyed hanging out there. It’s close to Belfast, which is a great little seaside town, lots of restaurants and a great brewery. The only criticism I have was the property description - “cabin on 10 acres”. Not sure where the 10 acres were, as there were other buildings on the property which was confusing what we had access to and where we weren’t supposed to go. Still, it was great.

Charming cabin perfect for R&R with family
The cabin was exactly like the pictures showed and how I imagined it would look like! It was like being in a fairy tale! The only downside was the limited privacy up in the loft on between the back bedroom and the front where the other two beds are located. There is a wall of course but it doesn’t go all the way to the ceiling. If that’s not a big deal for you and your group, though, then I would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful setting and great host!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin - it had plenty of space for our family of 8 to enjoy! The kitchen is sufficient for basic cooking (nothing elaborate) and the grill on the deck helped tremendously. The drive to Acadia was farther than I expected but our crew didn't mind the drive time. We spent slow mornings at the cabin and returned after taking in the sunsets in various places along the coast. It is a lovely spot!

This is a great little cabin tucked up into Searsport. A short walk down the road to a couple good snowshoeing trails. Everything seems well thought out in the cabin.

Christmas Getaway
Amazing weeklong stay in a gorgeous, rustic, and cozy cabin the woods. The host was very gracious and welcoming. He added thoughtful touches to our arrival including a full size Christmas tree inside complete with candy canes, a gift for each of the children, and handcrafted ornaments for us to take as a momento of our stay. We spent time exploring the outdoors in two of the local state parks, as well Acadia National Park. Thank you for making our first Christmas away from home an idyllic stay at your mid-coast cabin in the woods! The memories will be treasured forever.

Majestic Maine
Five years ago we dropped our son off @MMA and it opened our eyes to the splendor of Maine. We have been blessed to visit Maine, at least, a dozen times with each return trip always reflecting the Majesties of Maine. We have slept in dorm rooms, trucks, hotels, motels, B&B's, a renovated cannery, and what may (as my husband describes)be a haunted mansion. Our stay in this comfy, cozy cabin has been the highlight of our Maine adventures. The warmth and serenity of the cabin embraces your the moment you open the front door.

We stayed in the dead of winter and were very impressed! The pictures are exactly what it looks like. The cabin was warm and cozy. The owners were easily accessible but not overbearing. We brought the dog and it was no problem!

Great Central location
The cabin was beautiful on the inside. We needed a central location to the Maine Lobster festival, Searsport, Belfast and Bangor. This worked perfect for our group. It was as listed on the site. The owner was very pleasant and is actually an Outfitter./ Guide. The cabin was cozy and spacious. Great place to sty!

PEACEFUL AND TRANQUIL
Cleanliness is next to Godliness....look out, a little piece of Heaven on earth. Our family had a wonderfully relaxing time at James' place. So glad we found it and booked it! Absolutely a beautiful place. Everything you need....location quite convenient too...not far from anything. James will direct you to where you want to go, and provide great insight to some fine eateries too....that is, if you need to leave. Highly recommend this place.

Great!!!
Beautifully decorated inside and out. The cabin is well stocked with all the basics. The location is perfect for a getway but close enough to get to many of Maine's major attractions. My daughter loved the two cats on the property and visited with them every morning. We greatly enjoyed the screened in porch which was a surprise. Thank you for helping to make our first trip to Maine truly special.

Worth it, just book it, you will have no regrets.
Looking for a getaway with the family and found it. It was everything I expected and more. We enjoyed riding up and down Route 1 and exploring. We loved the cabin so much we cooked all our meals there and played games by the woodstove and then sat on the couch and watched some tv. I read the other reviews prior to booking and let me address some things. 1. Bed was broken, NO, it was brand new and super comfortable, I have a sleep number at home and this bed was awesome. 2. Cat on property. Who cares, find a place that doesn't have animals someplace, bet you cant. We brought our dog and cat were fine with it. Person needs to get over it. 3. Owner's house was close. It was, but JD was really friendly and helpful. We did not see him at all and felt we were all alone in the woods by ourselves. We will definitely book again. Thank you JD

Nice cabin, terrible bed!
The box spring is broken so even though there was a new matress my wife and I both sunk to the middle. I had to sleep on a separate bed than her. The host told me he would check into it. Be sure to find out if that was fixed before you book. Otherwise it was a nicely decorated place. Definitely a guys type of cabin.

Nice cabin but very discounted owners house twenty feet away... Listing said 10 acres cabin and privacy. Went for our anniversary .. wasn’t very peaceful or private. Brought our dog ... not knowing the ownersbhad two cats... had to wast her him a lot more then we would have if on a private ten acre lot... highly disappointed. Won’t use homeway or evolve again.

Quaint and perfect
I stayed here with 5 other family members and it was exactly what we were looking for. Tucked away in the woods, it provided the peaceful atmosphere we were looking for. Close to many attractions (Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor) and the owner was very knowledgeable and provided us with some local places to go to. Very friendly and would definitely recommend to others. Will be coming here for many more summers to come!

cozy, quiet cabin. great hosts. bad sleep.
the cabin is built well and perfectly made for a quiet getaway. keeps warm, smells of delicious wood, and very convenient to towns like Belfast. JD and Beth are super welcoming and very personable. Theyre also very easy to get a hold of since their home is located right next door. They were never a bother though and we always felt like we had our privacy. our only complaint—and it’s somewhat important on a vacation—was the quality of sleep. the mattresses on both the upstairs main bedroom and downstairs sleeper sofa were incredibly uncomfortable and in need of replacement... something easily fixed to make the cabin a 5-star booking.

Wonderful Winter week stay!
We absolutely loved our stay! It happened to be a record breaking cold temp week in Maine but it was still so great! The wood stove helped. I thought the cabin was well equipped and very accommodating. A dollar general and local market are just up the road..So pleased with my decision to book this cabin! My active duty husband enjoyed taking his leave to see his family and using this cabin for our lodging!

Fantastic Stay in Searsport
The cabin was perfect for my wife, four teenage children and me. It offered plenty of space indoors and included a large deck with chairs, tables and a large grill. The owner took a lot of pride in his cabin and property. The cabin was immaculate, well decorated and offered everything we needed to relax after a day of hiking, prepare meals and sleeping arrangements accommodated our family of six easily. The property is well landscaped and offered privacy but was a short drive from the town and waterfront. Searsport is located in Midcoast Maine and makes it a great location for exploring Acadia, Belfast, Camden and Rockland. Acadia is about 1 hour north and we spent two days hiking and exploring this awesome National Park. Searsport is also a short drive from Camden Hills state park where we hiked Mt Battie; Rockland where we did a sunset sail and Belfast which offers a lot of restaurants and great waterfront. Overall we had a fantastic stay. The owner was helpful with suggestions and ensured we had an enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay there again if we make the trip north from Pennsylvania. Even my four teenagers had a blast and disconnected from their phones and connected with nature.
