Family Getaway

The house is in the perfect spot.1 block from the beach, restaurants & all the action Alki Beach has to offer. It’s such a lively neighbourhood. We rented e-scooters to get to water taxi to Downtown which was very fun & recommended. House was bigger than we thought, very clean & quiet. Our family had a great time & cannot wait to return.

Pleasant visit with family

I enjoyed the wonderful location a block from Alki beach, restaurants, shops and incredible sunsets. The property was accurately listed, and every creature comfort was provided. Lovely lighted patio was a favorite at night. I had a great visit with my teenage grandson and he was a definite fan of the close proximity to the beach and boardwalk. I would stay here again and recommend to others without hesitation.

The rental was great! Perfect location - walkable to a beautiful beach, coffee, restaurants, and bars. The neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe. The house was immaculate. Great house, great host

We had a great time at the home on Alki Beach. This is a wonderful place to stay with plenty of room. Just one block off the beach and restaurants makes it very convenient to grab a bite to eat or go for a walk. The home is very clean and well kept. The beds were very comfortable. Wayne is a great host and did a great job of getting us the information we required to have a nice stay. He also had great recommendations for restaurants near the Alki Beach. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

I chose this house because of the proximity to our event and restaurants. In that regard it was top notch. It’s a nice house. Quiet neighborhood. I would have expected more tea and coffee options from a VRBO. The property owner is very responsive and gives very clear instructions about his rental.

Fun location on a corner, across the street from the log cabin museum - 1 block from the beach. Lots of traffic and parking going on, along with people walking by all hours. Very interesting to watch. House is roomy with a nice feel to it, nothing fancy. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and there is a nice outside area for sitting/barbecuing. The 2 bathrooms are clean. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace in the basement king bedroom.

Great West Seattle Alki Beach location

Our stay in West Seattle was comfortable and cozy. The home afforded us the ability to be near enough to our family without infringing upon their need for time and space apart. The kitchen had a well stocked cabinet with pots, pans, plates and spices. The beds were comfy with linens and towels provided. We would consider this again for future stays. The owner was very communicative and responded quickly to all texts. Street parking was available each time we returned from Seattle. The Alki Beach was readily accessible with quaint boutique shops and cafés.

Picture of premises seems to be from quite some time ago. Couches seemed pretty outdated and worn. TV's have little tricks that owner will tell you about to operate. No washer and dryer as stated. Hardwood floors need attention, no AC, no parking space. House was clean, however very obvious that house was a DIY fixer upper. House had adequate space and cheaper than a motel. You certainly had to get information from locals about getting to Seattle itself and where and when to catch the water taxi. House is about 2 blocks from the beach itself, and many places of business were not open. Maybe because of it being the first of the season. Feel that the extra room upstairs could be put to better use. Owner has many quirks that he will tell you about when you check in. :)
