Beautiful weekend!

Had a great time it worked well! We wish that it had been more clear that there was no washer or dryer avaliable at the house. But the rest was great!

very rustic, very clean, plenty of towels and sheets, no A/C, but many fans (for the few days it was not). a small problem with the guest bathroom doorknob. We enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful views!

Thank you for a great stay. The Writers Retreat is a fantastic escape from the crowds with amazing deck views. From the deck we watched the deer and a bald eagle bringing fish back to the nest. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a night in after a day of hiking. The house is close to the park but far from the crowds. It is not “fancy” but it was perfectly comfortable. There are games, books and even binoculars to watch the animals! Our family of four had a great stay!
