My flight didn’t get in until super late but check in made it easy to get to bed right away. Upon getting groceries the next day, we found ants all over the place, including on our stuff. We made sure not to leave any food or dirty dishes out but they still appeared. I contacted the host immediately and told them we bought a spray and they reimbursed us. The communication with the host was easy but not at all helpful. They suggested bringing someone in to clean it, and I said that would be appreciated and someone did but didn’t speak a word of English. I translated for her to tell her about the ants and she had no idea that the reason she came to clean was because there was an infection. She then told me someone else would come look at it, someone who spoke English and no one ever did. I was paranoid for the entire trip and spent so much time cleaning the ants. This is NOT how I wanted to spend my vacation. As I’m cleaning up my stuff to leave, I’m still finding ants all over the place, including in my suitcase. Will not be coming back here.
