Comfortable home surrounded by natural beauty

Nice location close to trails and conveniences nestled in the red rocks. Modern, clean, well designed home on a large fenced lot. Watch the balloons take off and land from the front yard. Comfortable beds and furniture

Great time spent

The atmosphere and the set up of this house was amazing. If we had a questions it was answered right away. I think that’s probably the best thing about our experience was the amazing communication through out our stay. The house was cute and clean. And the view of the stars were breathtaking.

Perfect home for starry nights

Desert Star was a perfect little home for my family of 5 to rest and also prepare for our wedding day. Adjustable lighting were perfect for a few photos and the non TV rooms were perfect disconnect and re-energize. The kids loved learning how to use Siri. Beds were super comfy and house was clean on arrival. Definitely great for stargazing at night sitting on the patios. 10 minutes away from restaurants and stores. Great getaway. Would definitely rent again!

If the owners do a few things that we recommended to make the stay enjoyable, we may up our review. But between issues getting in the house, lack of bedding for 2 of the beds, and all the bugs in the house, we cannot recommend staying here.

Perfect locations

Perfect location in beautiful quiet neighborhood. Very relaxing. Clean property. We had some trouble when checking in late in the evening because the door was locked from the inside. Home can use a bug exterminador. Bugs do not bother me, except when out of control, fyi for those traveling with small children. We stayed for the 4th of July weekend away from our home state. Excellent place!

A Peaceful Retreat Amidst Nature’s Beauty

We recently stayed at the Desert Star in Sedona, and it exceeded our expectations! Nestled slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Sedona, this home offers a peaceful retreat in a quiet neighborhood, allowing us to relax and unwind. The outdoor spaces were a highlight, offering serene views and the delightful sight of hot air balloons launching in the mornings. Inside, the cleanliness and comfort of the beds made our stay very enjoyable. The home is well-equipped and modern, with each room offering patio doors to the beautiful surroundings. Its location is perfect for accessing nearby trails and local eateries without the traffic.

Dark skies and serenit!

Great property! Less than 10 minutes to west Sedona but the feel was very country. Dark skies and only the faint sound of the highway a few miles away. Tranquil neighborhood. Great star viewing. The house was clean and we had the easiest time accessing. Very close to Red Rock State Park which has great hiking trails and access to oak creek. Wi-Fi worked great. Do note that we had no cell phone signal (Verizon) but this wasn’t an issue because of WiFi calling.

Fantastic location - mish-mash of amenities

The home, overall, is comfortable and very clean, but with eclectic amenities: there are some very updated conveniences (TV, wifi, appliances) but some are very outdated (cookware is really old and beat up, and bedding is worn and mattresses are very soft). Also, be aware that there are no dressers or much shelving space to put clothing, so if you plan on staying for more than a couple nights, you'll still need to live out of your suitcase, or hang what you can in the closet. Also, the insulation is terrible, so it's very cold in the winter. Luckily the electric fireplace in the living room kept the living room warm. Still, it's a great location away from the bustle of the crowds but still easy to get to all that Sedona has to offer and it's SUPER quiet. Very Peaceful!

Nice quiet getaway in West Sedona, perfect for girls' trip or a family trip

Simple self check in and out (no cleaning or any checklist needed, so simple to just pack and leave). Beautifully remodeled home with all the amenities we needed (R/O system was a bonus so we could refill our water bottles, and laundry was also convenient). We enjoyed the smart home features (to play music, etc) and enjoyed cooking and hanging out at the house in the evening. Location was convenient at the edge of West Sedona, off of Red Rock Loop Road, close to scenic lookouts (where we could watch the beautiful sunrise), Red Rock Crossing, Red Rock State Park, and other trails in West Sedona. Each room had access outside to the spacious enclosed yard (dog friendly) or front patio so you can relax and take in the views with your morning coffee, or after a day of hiking. Great location to stargaze as well. Due to the location, cell signal wasn't that great but wi-fi calling worked perfectly (with easy set up instructions). Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
