「Location is great! 20 minutes into downtown Reykjavik and 3 minutes to the highway to serve as a base for traveling around. The location is quiet and rustic. The cottage is a bit older and needs a bit of upkeep (bedroom door doesn’t close). I agree with others who have said that paying a bit more to have a cleaner come out would be worth it. I loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. Great way to start and end the days of exploring. It’s a bit cramped if you were to have more than 2 people...

「So it’s my twins 21st birthday and I wanted to do something memorable. So I took them to Iceland and stayed at an amazing VRBO. Here are my top 3 reasons for 5 stars: 1. Location - it’s in a town that’s close to some of the main geologic attractions in Iceland (Gulfoss, the south coast, etc.). The town also has a supermarket and some surprisingly good restaurants (even a mushroom farmer who has a family restaurant). 2. The quality of the VRBO. Plenty of room for 5 adults in a new neighborhood...

Allerdings ist das Bett für zwei Personen viel zu klein und dass das Bad nicht komplett abgeschlossen war führt dazu, dass keine Privatsphäre vorhanden ist. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Vermieterin ist sehr nett und sympathisch. 」

「I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. 」

「Wir waren mit der Familie hier. Das Haus ist für 5 Personen ideal und sehr gemütlich. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Highlight war der Whirlpool in den wir jeden Tag reingesprungen sind. Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen. Wir haben von hier aus viele Ausflüge auf dem Golden Ring und sogar bis zur Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon unternommen. Island hat uns fantastisch gefallen und gerne kommen wir eines Tages wieder.」

「Beautiful home, great location, loved the sauna. Only 2 of the 3 beds were made before our party arrive so we had to hunt for the extra bedding but non issue in the end. Great coffee, shower and heated floors awesome! Highly recommend 」
