Susukinohara Ichinoyu
Clean, beautiful room, friendly staff. Great outdoor onsen. Private onsen is clean, nice, and loves that it looks into nature; though aesthetically a bit basic (looks like a hot tub). Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Beautifully presented, tasty, and hearty. That said, dinner was too much food ...

BLISSTIA Hakone Sengokuhara
Gorgeous new hotel. Rooms were so spacious and common areas were super clean. Enjoyed all the amenities. It was just a bit hard to get to since it was at the top of the mountain, but I assume all places in Hakone are like that.

Hakone Retreat villa 1/f
The entire staff is amazing and so accommodating, the food was exceptional and we also had a wonderful massage. The rooms are all unique, clean and comfortable. It is a bit off the beaten path and does not have any TVs so you can truly disconnect. Highly recommend!!
