We originally requested for the room #501 Camp Ruka via our agent, but when we arrived we were informed it is under maintenance until the 3rd day and were asked to pick another room for the 1st 2 nights.
The 1st room we stayed is #209 with a vintage design. The design is great, but to us it is not quite "practical" to stay for 2 reasons: lighting is not enough, and there is little privacy in using the bathroom - there is a circular window which you can see through the bathroom from the living room, and there is no curtain/blind whatsoever. Although we appreciate some couples would not mind that, some would prefer private time in the bathroom. The wifi was not working properly on the 1st night, but staff managed to fix it upon request.
The second room #501 is more spacious and brighter with higher privacy around the bathroom area. Also not quite practical as inside bathroom there is nowhere you can hang towels or clothes, and when you shower the whole bathroom will get wet, even the tissue paper. The sink looks like it's clogged as water flew super slowly. We love the huge tent inside the room which is why we picked the room in the first place.
In summary, the rooms are with good interior design but not quite practical, so staying 1-2 nights should be fine but if you stay longer it might be a problem.
Location is convenient.
