“The staff was good, it has kitchen, living room and bed room. However, it smell bad inside, no screen on bedroom window, the hot tub was not working, either too hot or fully cold, no water if set in the middle. Every furniture is pretty old. Will never stay 2nd time.”

“Pros: it’s clean and close to Sequoia National Park. Cons: it’s very low budget, it’s an old “motor inn” trying to be a “lodge”.”

“I agree with many others that this property has the potential to be wonderful, but needs some TLC. Our room had stale odor, likely from smokers. The furnishings inside and outside were dated and dirty. There was a lot of trash and junk scattered around the property. The office building was unkempt, inside and outside. Horrible first impression that left us wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. There was no mattress pad on the bed, which we found very unusual for an overnight……

“This area is not for novice hikers. Recommend Groundhog Meadow hike to get acclimated. Staff were friendly and cabin was clean and comfortable.”

“Probably should remove Wifi reference from property description. Bathroom placement is a bit odd but worked out well. Peaceful quiet location. ”

“My wife and I rented this lovely little cabin for 3 nights and would have loved to stay 3 more. The history is super cool and there are a bunch of items and memorabilia on the walls relating to the cabin making for a really unique experience. Don’t expect it to feel like a modern hotel room. It’s rustic and as original to its 100 year old roots as it can be. If you like the rustic though you’ll love this place. We saw a group of about 12 turkey waddle through the yard, spotted a deer walking……
