With two full bedrooms and two baths, this cabin is great for honeymooners,

couples, or families. Nicely furnished, Bear Pause features a fully equipped

kitchen, jetted tub, and wood burning fireplace all designed with your

convenience and comfort in mind. Once outside, whether you choose to soak in

the hot tub or just rock in the rocking chairs, you can't help but enjoy the

privacy and seclusion provided by this spacious wooded lot. If you want peace

and quiet, while being close to all the action of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge,

Bear Pause is the cabin for you!

Seclusion with some drawbacks

The cabin is an amazing location if you’re looking to get far up in the mountains and be away from anyone. Its about a half hour drive to the nearest anything. The biggest cons we found was there is not much to cook with like pots and pans and the stove heats very slow. Also the beds are very loud and uncomfortable so anyone else in your party will here you move an inch in the bed. Other than those the property is incredible.

Isolated area. Very peaceful. Great cabin.

A solid experience. The beds make a lot of noise so consider looking into new beds, the hot tub wouldn’t heat up the last 2 days which was a bummer but overall, a nice place to spend time.

Nice but WAY out there

Overall, the cabin is pretty good. Good size and nice porch views. Lots of DVDs and games to help pass the time at night. NO Wifi and NO cell phone reception. The most disappointing thing to me was the way it was listed. The listing says Sevierville and that may be the address but it’s a SOLID 25 minutes from Sevierville and 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Also, avoid Red Awning (Third party listing service) like the plague. I contacted them the minute I got the address and saw how far it was from everything. No refund and no exchange. Basically, tough luck. Won’t do business with them again.

Peace Quiet & Relaxation In The Smokies!

Our stay was great! The drive up to the cabin is not for the faint of heart! I personally enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery surrounding you! Once at the cabin we found everything we needed to have time away to ourselves. We cooked every night and ate all of our meals over three days at the cabin. Location is great! Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but close enough to enjoy them if you so wish. We also visited Carvers Orchard and purchased some delicious apples and treats. The fried apple pies are worth the $2 and then some!!! The hot tub is a nice feature for sure! Starry nights , sunsets, or sunrises all enjoyed from the tub. Amazing views! The fire pit was a plus as well. All in all a beautiful property. If youre going to the mountains this is a very good bang for your buck with the location and amenities. May want to consider weather if you dont have 4x4 transportation as the drive way is steep though you could park at the bottom and walk up as well. Its the mountains!!! If you want to stay at the Bellagio go to Vegas!!!!

Loved Bear Pause

It was exactly the quiet getaway I was looking for. You cannot see any other cabins. Deck is awesome. Kitchen furnishings a little worn out, I went out and bought a good pan. The beds are a little uncomfortable--need new mattresses. I love the location and wold go back again. God is good!

Bear Pause cabin

This was our first time ever renting a home and we were not disappointed. The cabin was wonderful and so peaceful. The views were amazing and having coffee in the morning on the porch while watching the mountains was great. Checking in was very easy and convenient. The hot tub was really relaxing also. The driveway is really steep but we did not have a problem in our car.

Beautiful cabin, sketchy drive

We loved the cabin. The views from cabin were spectacular. The amenities were plentiful, the only negatives were the drive way, and time it took to get to a straight road. 😉 aka, town.
