Charming Cabin

We were very happy with our stay. There were a few glaring omissions from the description however. The theatre room television wasn't usable due to lines through the screen. The basketball goal was unusable as well. The post still remained upright, but the other half of the goal was lying on the ground. The grill had been "investigated" by bears and was also unusable. Also, and it might have been an oversight on our part, but the fireplaces arent unable until the winter months. They weren't necessary for warmth, but would have been nice to use sparingly, as it goes hand in hand with the charm of the area. Justin was helpful and attentive while we made changes to our reservation dates due to hurricane helene

Fair / Disappointing

Location more convenient than expected. Very poor satellite reception/Internet signal; theatre room TV did not have sound, therefore unusable. Main room fireplace did not work. Instruction sheets were not thorough and All responses to questions were AI generated which lead to frustration. Hot Tub was most disappointing amenity (two person) Foul odor water when showering; All water to the home simply stopped working or was on timer to turn off 1hr prior to departure. House was neat,clean with nice layout but no one in our group would stay there again. **Not recommended**

Good and not so good

We rented the place for a week for our Christmas with our kids and grandkids. We did like the cabin but had some issues that never got fixed. One problem I had them demanded first and last name of every person and ages including my grandkids. We rent all the time and never been asked this we felt odd about this, but when we get there the place is beautiful. We couldn’t use any of the fire places as there was no gas to the place. They did have 2 different maintainance men come out and they did order a gas company to come out and change propane tank and fill it. But then the gas man tried lighting fireplace and kinda blew up a little on him and he unhooked all the gas to be safe until owner can fix fireplace. The Theater room the surround sound wouldn’t work so we were bum about that and maintainance man tried fixing it and give him kudos he spent couple hours trying but couldn’t. We wanted to use the gas grill but no propane to it and we were told then they don’t provide it, wished we would have known upfront we had to bring our own propane tank for grill. I will say the management company tried fixing stuff quickly and responded very quickly. They tried it just didn’t work out for us with the few little things that happened. Over all we still loved the place and was a very quite and secluded cabin but close enough to everything we wanted.
