We loved the cabin layout, the view was 5 stars, and the drive to the cabin was easy. Beckon Homes team gave clear communication and instructions, they were prompt when answering questions and were kind throughout the process. We may not stay in this same cabin again but I will book with Beckon Homes for future rentals. Great company!The issues with the cabin are the reason for 3 stars. We had an issue with the fireplace, Beckon homes teams was notified and they came out to repair it quickly, which we were grateful for. The other big issue is the amount of pet hair in the cabin from a previous tenant. It was everywhere and stuck to all of our stuff. We reserved this pet friendly cabin but our family dog passed right before our trip. Whatever previous animal was in the cabin, my 2 kids must be allergic to. Our 2 year old and 1 year old broke out in hives every time they were on the main floor rug or carpet on the lower level. The other cabin issues were minor but still could use addressing for future guests: kitchen sink faucet leaks, light under microwave isn’t working, light in downstairs shower not working, downstairs shower screams at you (lol), animal hair everywhere, the fireplace is fixed and working but the flame is barely visible, main floor shower faucet leaks. Overall we had a pleasant stay, just wish it was cleaned more thoroughly after previous users pets.
