Breakfast selections were good. Very difficult to communicate when most of the staff do not understand simple English words like water and towels. The room where the toilet is located had sands all over the floor and the trash can had dirty black socks in it, which means it was not cleaned? With the hotel WiFi, I was not able to check my Google email accounts, fb, YouTube, and safari/chrome.

My only complaint is that when I was checking out, I had questions and Winnie wouldn’t answer me. She just ignored me. She didn’t acknowledge that I was talking to her. That was rude. Especially when I just asked how much I was charged for the deposit because it wasn’t showing up on my bank statement. The hotel should have record of how much was charged and how much will be refunded.

There are better option in Shanghai

Hotel close to the Bund waterfront and in a historic building - with huge construction sites before and behind the hotel.... You choose your preferred side of the building but it won't change the view or the noise. Of the 6 hotels I have visited during my trip in China (4-5 stars) this is the last worth it (price, service, amenities, location). In addition it's the only hotel that has charged for a deposit, not unusual a practice, true. Yet my card was charged 3% in fees for the "deposit"!!

As usual good

staff is super friendly especially their concierge extremely helpfull, as usual China Wifi in Hotels is restricted making working almost impossible only point is the bathroom had a strange smell maybe from the sink drain quite unpleasant. This was my 5th or 6th stay the location only 15 mins from office and two metro station next door nice

우선 가격 대비 위치나 비주얼이 훌륭합니다. 고풍스러운 외관과 유럽풍 인테리어가 가장 인상에 남아요. 욕조도 사용하기 쾌적했습니다. 하지만 에어컨 소리인지가 계속 나서 혼자 있는 밤에는 조금 무서웠고 TV가 매우 오래되어서 약간 당황했으며 선반 뒤로 물건이 넘어갔는데 고정이 되어있어 난감했습니다만 조금 다치면서 꺼냈어요. 하지만 전반적으로 만족했고 아기자기한 것 좋아하는 사람들이나 사진찍기 좋아하는 친구들에게 추천할 생각입니다.

Lack of hospitality

The female receptionist was very rude, impolite,was talking to the other male receptionist in her language while we were trying to ask questions.From the beginning she wasn’t quite wanted to help us in any way. The room windows were open a lot of dust was in the room and it was too late to ask for any one to clean the dust on the floor so we thought the next day it will be cleaned but the room hasn’t been mopped off dust until we left which resulted in severe asthma attack since I am allergic to dust . I was using inhalers all the time in the room and was unable to sleep or enjoy my stay in Shanghai due to asthma . Since the receptionist was rude I didn’t want to ask her for any other help such as room cleaning so I asked the concierge Travis , he promised to attend to it but the room wasn’t cleaned off dust . I couldn’t sleep and has been suffering from asthma all throughout my stay . The concierge do nothing about organizing tours , they recommend an illegal marketplace which we were sent by a shuttle car trying to sell us products underground. The hotel is located in a very convenient place but I don’t think I will ever come back or send any friends because of the lack of hospitality.
