"Even though we were only at the house for one night, it was a very lovely stay. Nikko is gorgeous and the house allowed us to feel truly immersed in the culture. It’s relatively close to historical sites and Yoshiko was so kind to us. We had some delays and were rushed to reach the temple, but she drove us to ensure we had as much time as we could get. Would definitely stay again!"

If you are looking for a modern and convenient accomodation this is not for you, BUT if you are looking for unique place to stay on the country side this is the place. "We had a fantastic stay at this Ratuken property! The fit out of the projector in the bedroom, and the comfortable furniture make this a very comfortable stay for two. It would easily handle more people. It's a sizeable apartment. The private semi-outdoor onsen/bath with artificial minerals is a fantastic touch. Very relaxing! It's a short walk from town and there are convenience stores nearby. Highly recommended! "

"An excellent hotel. The front desk staff are very polite, and the room design is comfortable and well thought out. The bedding is of high quality—especially the silky-smooth sheets, which you can tell are not your average standard. There’s also a large dining table next to the lobby for guests to enjoy drinks, thoughtfully equipped with tableware, paper plates, a small oven, and a microwave. Although it’s a bit of a distance from the city center, it’s best to drive if possible."
