The church dates from the 13th century onwards, with several restorations in the 19th century. It consists of a western tower, nave with south porch, clerestory and north aisle, chancel with chapel, and vestry. The unbuttressed tower dates from the 13th century and is topped by a two tier lantern of lead-covered wood. The tower is rendered, with a battlemented parapet. There is also a bellcote at the east end of the nave. The nave has a clerestory to the north side, and the north arcade is of five bays with octagonal piers. There is a two bay arcade to the north chapel. The north aisle has a late medieval roof with large arched braces, but the roof to the north Chapel is somewhat earlier. There are two fonts, one of which is Norman. The pulpit dates from the early 17th century, and there is also a fine wooden lectern from circa 1500, with lions at the foot. There is a two manual organ which was replaced in 1985.

The spa was inviting and the staff very good. Made to feel comfortable and the treatment was great. The pool area was okay and while we did enjoy it we just feel it lacked an intimate atmosphere as was a gym club. Definitely could have done with either drinks service for guests or a bar. However ...

Lovely spacious standard room. Very quiet overnight, I did not hear noise from other rooms. Very friendly reception staff. Pool facilities looked lovely, although I didn’t have time to use them.
