Our stay at Mountain Valley Inn and Suites was extremely disappointing. We stayed in two rooms because the first room (3rd floor) had an active ceiling leak (see photo) and was filthy and in terrible condition—it didn’t even have hand soap. The second room (6th floor) was cleaner and in better shape, but the overall experience was still very poor. In both rooms, the bedding was ripped and stained, and the blankets were very thin. We were told we received the last extra blanket, so if you choose to stay here (which I would not recommend), bring your own. The tub did not drain properly in either room. On the first day, there was a large wet spot in the carpet that never dried. We asked for help and a new room but were denied. We were told maintenance would come, but nothing was fixed. We were also told our dog could not be left alone in the room, even though this policy was not listed anywhere on the website prior to booking. This was not due to any complaint—just “policy.” We argued and did not follow it, but future pet owners should be aware. Customer service was generally good, except for one front desk worker who was very unhelpful and did not address concerns with the ceiling leak. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, especially for the price. I wish we had stayed at a Hilton nearby for about $60 more per night. I would not stay here again.

The room was so gross! There were several toe nail clippings in the bathroom more than one persons worth and multiple fist sized stains of an unknown substance on the bed. We asked for the room to be cleaned and specified about the stains and toe nail clippings. We came later that day to the room being “tidy up”, The bed was made but the bed continued to have stains and looked unwashed, and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all the toe nail clippings were still scattered across the floor. We went downstairs where they gave us another room to accommodate us, But that rooms bed under the top blankets had a bunch of people hair in it. We decided to go to a different hotel hoping to find a clean place to sleep. We were denied a refund for the night that we didn’t even stay. The hotel being so expensive does not live up to the standards portrayed. I would strongly recommend choosing a different hotel. We went to The Block hotel which is less than a mile down the road and priced similarly but the rooms were greatly cleaner and staff was very pleasant, I would strongly recommend them over this hotel.

I loved it. I would definitely come back to visit. Along w/ Gigi’s restaurant inside the hotel. She makes the best martinis, chicken strips& French toast. Yum yum.

The room was terrible, awful condition. We left the hotel after the first night we didn’t even sleep under the covers it was discussing. We booked the room for multiple nights and left as early as we could when we woke up after the first night there.

The room was ‘fine’ for what we needed but would not stay here again. Staff was not rude but not friendly. Our keys kept not working so we’d have to get new ones. The room was mediocre at best. TV’s were the side of a computer monitor, the couch was uncomfortable to the point of the cushions sinking in. Bathroom is tiny and we were given minimal towels. The ‘continental’ breakfast was not a typical breakfast, and the hot tub was cold and the jets sprayed everywhere. Seems like a very outdated hotel.

This hotel has been the worst I’ve stayed at in a very long time only good thing was the hot tub which is sad my trip started out horrible with me getting a flat tire and not being able to get up there the first night I thought the front desk manager would understand but completely just asked me if I had insurance because I guess that’s how you have to do things now people just don’t care if you had a flat tire or an inconvenience. They just wanna know if you had insurance so if I would’ve had insurance, yes I would’ve been comped for the first night, but that being said stay far away from this place it should be burned to the ground and start over the interior is horrible. My room didn’t have any heat even though I had it cranked 85 it stayed at 68 during the day and 60 at night

This hotel needs upgrades. The bed itself was good and comfortable. The room was old and musty and the shower had no hot water but the sink would burn your hands. The toilet took 10 minutes to fill the tank after the flush. The office chair was broken and dangerous to sit in so they brought another. I would like to see the desk and chair replaced with a comfy couch or chair. The coffee maker was dirty. For the price i expected a little more than what was experienced.
