“Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect.
Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines.
A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. Our room on the top floor only had……

“Super schön gelegnes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, mit Charme und hochwertigen Handtüchern. Auf dem Stockwerk war dazu auch ein nettes Nebenzimmer zum Aufhalten.
Lediglich die 3-Bett Regelung über das Buchungsportal trotz Altersangabe ist unglücklich gelöst und sollte nachgebessert werden. Das Hotel verhielt sich sehr kulant.

“Hemos estado una noche y lo que más destaco es la amabilidad del personal. L@s recepcionistas son encantadores. Dormimos en una habitación de tres y está bastante bien,por ponerle un pero , hacia y día de perros, aire lluvia y mucho frío, la habitación es grande y el radiador no calentaba demasiado, pero tiene mantas y almohadas a mayores en el armario, así que problema resuelto. "A disappointing experience - written by my husband who was the one who stays at this hotel
Spent a night in the Artist Gran hotel of Arts on my way back from the Camino de Santiago. I do not know if it was because of my backpack and casual pilgrim dressing but from the start, the service was a bit arrogant. I booked a room with queen size bed (indicating preference on high floor), but was given a DOUBLE bed for 3rd floor. As for the view, Smart Inner View means facing the window of your neighbor (welcome back to the dormitory in the Albergue!). An experience certainly not to be repeated. Get yourself an hotel with better service. You deserve better!"

"Bad service and accommodation for the price!
For a new hotel the room is extremely badly designed. No socket for the kettle, constant buzzing sound from the electric box and poor drainage in the shower leading to a bad smell. Cleaning is also bad. Used toothpick found in the sink area and left there for four days. Mugs left unwashed. Coffee/amenities in the room not topped up.
Breakfast is not worth the money and runs out of food at least an hour before breakfast is due to finish, staff very lazy and don’t attempt to top up the food or clear plates from tables (whilst eating food in front of guests). Same level of poor service was seen in the rooftop bar, with glasses all over near the pool. All staff need a significant amount of training to be at an acceptable standard. "
