Excellent Experience

The house was in a great location, and perfectly sized for our group of 10. Large back yard perfect for yard games. Clean and very well stocked. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future group trips.

Family Ski Vaca

This rental did not disappoint. Home is “dated” in the very best way our family of 13 for perfectly. There is lots of room to spread out- play games and everyone had a bed! The hot tub was is in perfect working order and was a highlight of this stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Sisters stay

family wedding trip

The stay was enjoyable. Lots of room for all 10 of us. Our granddaughter was getting married and there was room for our 5 children and their spouses to stay and play. The hot tub was used a lot. The only drawback was what they wanted to charge if we wanted to check out 1 hour later.

Disappointed

Two bedrooms were not cleaned with unmade beds. Deck although beautiful is very dangerous. All one color with s step down that blends in. 2 of us walked right off not knowing when we first got there. Needs to be marked. Twin beds are in poor condition and very uncomfortable. The kitchen and hot tub were nice. Kitchen stocked nicely.

Family Reunion

We had a great time at this property. It fit our large group, lots of space for the kids to run and play. The hot tub was a big hit. The back deck is a little out dated - there were broken boards and nails sticking through. The upstairs AC unit had a hard time keeping the upstairs portion of the house cool - it was a hot weekend. Overall this house was great for our trip. We would visit again.

Great for a big family

This house is huge. It’s very dated with some upgrades, mostly in the kitchen. We enjoyed dinner on the large deck every night. The expanse of green lawn was gorgeous. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. There were Plenty of towels for that. There are some things that weren’t so great. The house smelled strongly of dog when we first walked in. Two in our party felt they needed to change their sheets before they slept in the beds due to the hair on the sheets and pillowcases. There were also several fake fingernails on the floor indicating that it had not been vacuumed. There was a layer of dust on several flat surfaces in the bedrooms. There’s an accumulation of dead bugs and cobwebs on the window sills. Since they were dead, they didn’t bother us. The house has two living areas, one with a piano. One with a large TV The table in the kitchen is great, wooden and kind of rustic looking. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. It was lacking a good cheese grater but there was a good variety of pots and pans. We cooked breakfast and dinner there every day. There’s probably enough dishes for fifty people. The bedrooms are very roomy and easily accommodated our group of 11. In spite of the cons, we all felt the house was a good value. Don’t leave your shoes on the front porch. The sprinklers come on during the night and your shoes will end up soaked! We were unhappy with how ineffective and dismissive Vacasas responses were when we mentioned our concerns regarding a general lack of cleanliness even though they messaged and asked how everything was. It may not seem like it from my review, but if we were in the Sisters area again, we would stay here. It’s close enough to town. It’s in a neighborhood on the golf course with quite a few newer homes. We saw bunnies, deer and little frogs. Our family made some lasting memories here.

We had an amazing time here! We came with our three kids and their spouses and it was perfect! Plenty of rooms for all the couples. The hot tub was amazing and the propane fire table is the perfect touch! The house was well over stocked of toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap! I brought my own extra of these items as there was 11 of us one night and 9 the next. We will definitely be booking this place again. Likes: the space the house has, hot tub, propane fire table, limited check out chores, late check out option HUGE plus as we were able to clean up after ourselves much more before leaving without being stressed out, was able to drive not too far to Bend for an escape room and then next day not to far to Hoodoo for tubing, they had a coffee pot, Keurig and also a hot water pot, huge dining room table where the whole family was able to sit and play board games! The only two complaints I have are so minor it’s even ridiculous to list: when the sun is shining out back I couldn’t tell there was a step off the deck so I did a cute little dance move as I missed it which we all laughed! I ended up putting two potted plants they had to mark where that step was, the only other complaint is there was only one dryer sheet that we used the first night so when I went to do the few loads of towels before we left I was hoping the cleaning crew didn’t get zapped to bad! This place was amazing for our short getaway and will be back again!

Annual Golf Retreat

Very nice, well outfitted for our group, we wish not all bedrooms were on 2nd floor as we have one golfer in his nineties, one in his eighties and the remaining golfers in their seventies. Lovely accommodations plan to reserve for next year, due to all the individual beds. We found a sprinkler was broken off next to the deck which sent a guizer into the air in the middle of the night when the timer went off. We went to the hardware store and replaced it. Someone needs to set the timer. We hope to reserve the accommodations for next May. Dick

Charming large home!

This was a very charming house about 10 minutes from Sisters and 35 minutes from Hoodoo. The set up was nice, 4 standard bedrooms and then a "Family/Rec room" at the end of the hall all upstairs that had 3 beds and the pullout sofa, which was great for all the kids. The house's 80's theme was delightful, please don't "update" it to something modern and boring! We got a kick out of watching a few VHS tapes in the evening. The hot tub was clean and hot and the back deck was great. A place to hang towels outside near the hot tub would be nice. The wifi was very slow. I had to do a little work and it took a few minutes to send/receive emails, and the kids couldn't load videos on the wifi, which was OK, forced us to disconnect a bit. The kitchen was well stocked although the pots/pans have seen better days, and there were lots of places to spread out, perfect for larger families or groups. We enjoyed our stay very much!

bat bugs

We stayed here for a long weekend with friends and family. After the first night, all of the guest noticed that we had bug bites consistent with bed bugs. I reached out to the property manager, and they said that it was a serious claim, and they would look into it. Meanwhile, we spent our weekend getting bit every night. We didn't feel comfortable going to a different hotel or house because we didn't want to bring the bugs with us. We also had to take extreme precautions when we went home to prevent infecting our homes. After several days and reminders, the property manager said they had the place professionally inspected and that they were bat bugs, not bed bugs. They refused a refund, saying that "being that bat bugs are a part of the beautiful nature of Central Oregon we cannot provide a full refund". Personally, I don't think any sort of biting bugs in your bed is acceptable in a rental property. And there are many insects and animals that are part of the beautiful nature, but that does not mean they are acceptable in a home. There must have been a lot of bats in the attic for the bat. bugs to be traveling into all of the beds in the house. I would not stay here unless you like getting bit at night and apparently sharing the house with the beautiful nature of Central Oregon.

Better than most for a large group

Overall, this home was a wonderful find for our group of 9 (and a group meal for 13) and we would consider renting it again. The number of beds/bedroom was very needed; Pillows, blankets, bedding and bath towels were stocked very well and deserve mention as we've stayed in numerous homes and at times have struggled to piece it all together for everyone (Adding a single bed to one of the queen rooms would be nice). There were a few large pots and pans which can often be overlooked in larger homes and I was pleased that this wasn't the case. There were plenty of places for everyone to sit and eat - with extra chairs in closets, plenty of plates and bowls, etc. These thing really make a positive difference for anyone hoping to prepare meals and feed a large group! The owners really seemed to care about making this a great home to share and communicated that improvements are happening over time (my dad enjoyed reading the history of the home!). One thing that we overlooked when booking was that there is no shower in the master bath, and only 2 showers in the house (but 4 toilets and 6 sinks, so plenty of those!). The lack of master shower was a real bummer, but we managed (the lock on the master bedroom door was also not working - and without a door to the sinks and toilet area of the master, it opened things up for a couple awkward moments). We only ran out of hot water once when we pushed for the master bathtub to be used. While we had plenty of bath towels, there were only a handful of spa towels - if Vacasa would prefer bath towels not be used for the spa, definitely leave a few more around. Watch out as the doors can easily lock you out, if you're not careful - this happened to people in our group on both the front of the house and the back deck. The Tempurpedic bed in the master was a wonderful and welcome surprise! If you're a fan, or have one at home, this deserves mention. While there were a couple good pots/pans for large groups, there were other kitchen basics that felt missing - a good set of tongs, slotted spoon/pasta spoon, usable spatulas. For others interested, there was an InstaPot and a griddle as well. Had I realized that ahead of time, I wouldn't have brought ours with us. Lastly, for such a big home that far outside the city, having a second refrigerator of some kind would have been a huge help - even just a smaller fridge for drinks somewhere. Planning and cooking meals for a group that large isn't something that everyone does, but fridge/freezer space is needed for those who plan to do so. Last item - the wifi does not reach all areas of the house with decent bandwidth. There were a couple of us trying to work a bit and had to stay on one side of the house while working - likely an easy fix with an extender. Thank you for sharing your home! Space and privacy in Sisters

I give this property 4.5 stars. Very large and comfortable house in a great location and with a wonderful backyard. Nine of us stayed for about a week. We liked being in the private setting, and having enough space to really spread out inside and outside. Having all the bedrooms on top floor and gathering spaces on bottom floor was awesome and allowed for the night owls to do their thing while the early birds slept and vice versa. Hot tub was in good working order and was actively maintained during our visit. Kitchen was well equipped and there was a gas grill with copious propane for outdoor cooking.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home. This is our third year coming to this house. Second time in four months. It’s amazing for a big group. Love the fact that you’re out in the country/ but close to sisters. Hot tub is amazing. We did try booking for next year but it doubled in price that would be my only complaint. Besides that it’s an amazing house.
