We stayed here overnight for the Special Olympics equestrian meet. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast space was a little small, but not a huge issue. Will definitely be back next year.

This motel is pretty basic but acceptable if you need a pet-friendly place to spend the night in Skowhegan. It's on the main drag so lots of places to get supplies, something to eat, gas up, charge the EV, etc.

A good place to stay

Breakfast was OK, but not great. The pool has a sign on it advising that it is permanently closed. The motel provides the services it should and is clean and seems safe.

The price was right and the small room was clean. The motel is close to Walmart, which was a great convenience, and the microwave and fridge both worked fine. It was very handy to be able to park right outside the door to our room. I wouldn't recommend this for an extended stay, but for one night on a longer trip, it was perfect.

The new owner have done a remarkable renovation on this property. Room overall excellent, plenty of plugs where you need them to be. Highly recommend this property to any future travelers. Keep in mind this is an old school motel brought into the 2024 world.

It was a good clean room for an affordable price. The only issue we had was the hair dryer was mounted on the wall about a half of an inch too high to actually plug it in to the electrical outlet.

Skowhegan Motel

The stay was just for one night, on arrival we checked regarding breakfast and were told they were not currently offering this service even though they still advertise it, no compensation was offered. The room was as you would expect for a Motel, it was relatively modern with coffee facilities, microwave, fridge and a TV. Overall it is a basic motel that is convenient for a nights stopover when travelling through Skowhegan.

Waffle maker at the continental breakfast!

Affordable, clean, updated, and they had a waffle maker in the continental breakfast! We got in late due to traffic and weather- about 10:30 at night, and they were there and understanding. Only small downsides- we only had 3 sets of towels for a family of 4- and the heating system was confusing. But overall, we were very comfortable there, stayed warm, had full bellies the next day, and will stay again.

Old motel, but beds were comfortable, bathroom clean and well-equipped and room amenities complete (fridge, coffee). Nothing to complain about for the price. Breakfast room at reception had strong odour of naphthalene (moth balls) which they should try to eliminate. Thankfully, only there. Hot breakfast had limited choice but was OK.
