Family friendly Smiths Beach Retreat

Single story 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house on large flat block located midway between seasonal patrolled surf beach and YMC beach. Easy walking distance to the beaches, cafe and surf shop at Smiths Beach.

Great house for any season with bright open plan living/dining/kitchen. Well equipped kitchen has fridge, oven, microwave, sandwich maker, electric frypan, pod-compatible coffee machine plus dishwasher to make for happy chefs! Separate laundry with washing machine. TV and DVD players provided in both lounge and kids bedroom. Reverse cycle air conditioner provides heating and cooling.

The first bedroom has 1 Queen sized bed, second bedroom has 1 Queen and 1 King Single bed with trundle. No Bunks!

Outside there is a fully fenced backyard and double garage. Ample parking for both cars and boats.

Due to neighbour disturbance plus past damage to the house (car reversed into house, holes in walls, etc.), we do not take bookings from people celebrating end of school (schoolies).

What to do during your stay

Bring your bikes as the bike track runs all the way to Cowes or San Remo.

A two minute drive will take you to the Grand Prix track, 6 minutes to Cowes and 11 minutes to the Penguin Parade.

Walk to the Smiths Beach surf shop and take a surfing lesson.

Walk to the Smiths Beach cafe and enjoy a coffee and cake.

Visit Churchill Island for the market or just wander around the homestead.

Visit Cowes and enjoy dining in one of the many excellent restaurants and cafes.

I live close so brought supplies but everything was there. I wanted to get back to beach which was an easy 5 minute walk. Place felt secure and safe Had all that was needed. Did not bring critters this time but will feel comfortable to next time. Had a relaxing stay and will visit again.

Lovely

A lovely little cottage with a sizeable backyard for the kids and dogs to play. A quiet neighbourhood and walking distance to Smiths Beach. We had a wonderful, relaxing few days away and would love to come back again :)

Wonderful Stay

The house provided everything I needed and was immaculate. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, the home was only a short drive from Cowes. The only small suggestion I would offer is that there be a small tube into which the "pegs" may be inserted into to assist secure the property's gates in place. This is because, should you decide to bring your dog(s) and leave them in the yard while you are gone, you can be sure that the gates won't be moved.

Perfect seaside family retreat

We loved staying at this Smith’s beach house. Fantastic location only 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to a local cafe. Very central location on Phillip Island. The house itself is spacious, clean and fresh, with a big backyard and well equipped kitchen. Couldn’t fault it!

Great location. The house is comfortable. We had an issue with the toilet that was resolved quickly as the person in charge of the house was easy to get in touch with. We had a great time.

Smiths Beach Cabin

This is a great little beach house in a lovely location and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The problem is that a lot of things need fixing and/or updating to make it an exceptional stay. Minor repairs need to be made or completed, and things like plumbing and power points need addressing (an awful lot of power boards) plus remotes for TV and Aircon were awful. Would be a terrific house with these upgrades. The host was super to deal with and I am sure is aware of these few issues.

We had a lovely time. Nice little house, easy walking distance to two beautiful beaches. Hot water in the kitchen would have made things much more convenient for us and the description of beds in the bedrooms on the website was not quite right. But otherwise a nice place, we would absolutely stay here again.

Great spot for a week away

This is a nice little house in a lovely spot - walking distance to Smith's Beach and YMC Beach. Bit light on for some supplies (ie toilet paper, dishwasher tablets and bin bags) and couldn't get to the BBQ at all, which was a pity. Yard is well-fenced so furry friends can't escape to chase the bunnies.
