NOTICE: Holiday lodging at Snowshoe consistently sells out on the mountain. Book as early as possible if you hope to stay on the mountain over a holiday, and book your lift tickets. On holiday stays, the Internet is reported to be slow.

The Summit was shut down from April-Otober 2024 for a total refresh of the front walkways and staircases. You will appreciate the new look and convenience provided by this renovation, we sincerely hope.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is the best skiing south of northern New England, and is visited regularly by vacationers from Pennsylvania to Florida, and west to Indiana, Michigan and beyond. High in Pocahontas County (the highest county ANYWHERE east of the Mississippi) the headwaters for 8 rivers can be found there. Very lush, green, and naturally cool in the summer, New England climate in the winter, this vacation-land is everything you'd expect when you think 'Wild and Wonderful.' Our lodgings at The Summit provide views to the west that are ever-changing and always spectacular, offering many photo ops.

Our lodgings are on the top floor, south-facing end of the building. This gives additional natural sunlight, and provides a quietness and privacy enhancement. This location is perfect for the spectacular views over the valley below and across the mountains as far as the eye can see. You will see hawks at eye level from this vantage point. Deer roam frequently on the property, and you can see them close-up from the sunset deck.

We have a CODE DOOR LOCK, so key hassle is unnecessary. You can book today, and arrive today (if condo preparation can be completed)!! We do need to work with housekeeping on short-notice bookings, even in the ski season.

Location next to the Village and slopes make this a great choice for you and your family or friends. FREE shuttles provide frequent regular transport throughout the resort, and a shuttle does pass right by our parking lot regularly throughout the day. Parking passes are provided to you for 2 vehicles, but parking spaces are not guaranteed, especially on holiday weekends. Get there early if possible.
Free parking is available a shuttle ride away at SilverCreek and Top of the World.
Motorhomes and campers are not permitted in The Summit parking lot.

Internet is good - not always great. On holiday stays, the Internet is reported to be slow. We are looking at a condo-wide upgrade in 2025.

Large flat screen HD TV is wall mounted. You'll enjoy the deep "peacock green" granite counters and the well-equipped kitchen for cooking your favorite dishes. The coffee maker is Mr. Coffee type, and filters are provided.

The gas fireplace has a thermostat for your convenience and enjoyment.

Your very own sauna has a powerful heater. It heats up fast and HOT. PLEASE, FOR SAFETY, NEVER LET CHILDREN BE ALONE IN SAUNA. STEAM SCALDS. Be very careful with water on the rocks. AND NEVER USE THE HIGHEST TEMP SETTING, AS THIS WOULD CREATE A FIRE HAZARD. Owner assumes no liability for injury caused by sauna use. YOU DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE THE MOUNTAIN WITH PAINFUL BURNS.

The sleeping arrangements include a bedroom with queen bed, another with a double bed, and the third with two twin beds. Plan accordingly.

Sheets, towels, washcloths and basic supplies (dish detergent, toilet paper, coffee filters and trash bags) are provided.

Ski season is always "just around the corner," and now is the perfect time to make your plans, block the dates on your own calendar, and make your accommodation reservations. Holidays book up early, so make your move now if you plan to be at Snowshoe during a holiday. Be aware that Snowshoe will fully book on holidays. Also realize that on holidays, the slopes will be crowded, and skiing more challenging, with longer lift lines. For this reason, consider a non-holiday stay, and the advantage of MUCH LOWER rates during the weekdays.

Pricing - Our pricing structure is based upon the assumption of full occupancy (6), and minimum stay intervals. We occasionally will offer some discounting for smaller groups, and longer stays. Still, if there are just two of you, you can probably save money by choosing a location that is smaller than our 3 bedroom condo. We have a great little studio place for couples at Silver Creek, for significant savings over this 3 bedroom, and the advantages of pool, hot tub, sauna, and workout room. This Summit place is really perfect for 6 guests, especially if there are two couples, or two pairs of people that don't mind sharing a bed. Remember: Queen bed, double bed, two twin beds in the bedrooms. If you have more than 6 guests in your party, please look for ANOTHER property. 6 adults can be comfortable, each with a bed, but if you have one or two small children, and can bring air mattresses and sleeping bags for them, we will add a small additional fee. We offer, through a partnership with Ski Barn, 10-15% off all equipment rentals at the Ski Barn (Rt. 219 - Slatyfork), and SnowCreek (At entrance to Silver Creek). For the best quality, and best-priced equipment rentals in the area, check out their offerings, and get the additional 10% discount with the coupon that we will forward to you after your final rental payment. If you are looking for lift ticket deals, shop online at. Ticket prices vary by day and skier's age. You will always save money on lodging and lift tickets, and enjoy more skiing and less line waiting, if you can ski during the week. It is worth the time off of your work job. Do it. Also, look for the Snowshoe "Ridiculous" Season Pass deal in the Spring (start checking early February - they usually increase in price during the availability window, which is "short."), which gives you a payback after about 3 or 4 days on the slopes!! IKON pass is good all season, with blackout dates over holidays.

Snowshoe is a spectacular place to be in the Summer. Cool, pristine, fresh and low humidity air. 360 degree ever-changing distant views at "mile-high" (4848') Snowshoe Mountain. Evenings are sometimes cool enough to turn on the gas fireplace for a little extra coziness. Do bring a sweater or jacket if you plan to venture outdoors in the evening.
