Excellent!

We rented this place to celebrate the graduation of our son from UTC. It was very accommodating for a large group. The view out back is gorgeous. The weather that weekend was stormy, but we still had a wonderful time together. We would definitely visit again.

Mountain Retreat

My family and I had a great time on vacation from Minnesota. We were blown away by the secluded lake and waterfall. We spent lots of time outside on the giant patio. My 2,4, and 6 year old spent time collecting snails and doing laps around the lake. This house was huge with all the amenities needed.

Montlake

Beautiful property on a unique lake. Montlake had a big part in my memories & I’m so glad I got to experience staying on the lake. We came with our children & grandchildren & enjoyed meals & games around the dining table. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us to spread out

Beautiful and privet

If you are looking for modern and new this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a spacious well loved home, you have found it. Everything was very clean! 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a study, large dinning and furnish kitchen. The art decorating the home is beautiful and the view is stunning. Can you imagine having a private lake with your very own waterfall and path thur the woods. I highly recommend Montlake Retreat.

Great place for group

We had a big group of adults with cars on a climbing trip - this property was big enough to be comfy for all of us, plenty of space and 4 bathrooms so no fighting over showers, lots of parking. There's only 1 key so we had to do a bit of negotiation when we went separate ways during the day, but that was minor. Overall we loved this spot and would stay again.

Great place near Chattanooga

The house and host were wonderful. We had 8 adults and 3 children. The home was spacious with room for everyone to have space. The view and peacefulness of the property was great. We would definitely stay here again

Unique beautiful scenery - anwesome experience!

Hostess was very responsive. Our families had a great stay while visiting for a family wedding in Soddy Daisy. The property is so unique with the walking trail around the lake. Very spacious and well-suited for several families to gather.

Interesting and cute

It’s an older house with older decor. The bed comfort was not great but it was very spacious with a lot of bathrooms and plenty of sleeping options. The outside was amazing with a neat trail and excellent views. Overall, pretty good place to stay for the area.

This home is a bit older and a bit quaint. It is comfortable, very well equipped, well cared for, and has everything we wanted for our family vacation. The owners are very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our time there.

It was a beautiful place. The patio was wonderful. The the view was outstanding. It was just all around. We had a wonderful time. Everybody had a place to stay and bathroom to go to and we had just a wonderful time.

Beautiful and Comfortable

The property was truly great for our family get together. The setting in the woods with the lake was beautiful. We had everything we needed. Our host, Mariella, was ready to help us when we called and very friendly as well.

We had one of the best New Years celebration! We all loved the house, and was very spacious great for a small party; The property was very clean the pictures of the house is ok, but in reality the house it self it’s GREAT!

Great property

Older home in a beautiful location. Parents, three adult children and their 5 children had plenty of space to gather and still have private space. Large common area, 4 bedrooms wirh nearby bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, basketball net, spacious patio, beautiful trail around the lake and close proximity to Chattanooga attractions. We would definitely rent again!!

Family Weekend

The property is very scenic. The home is quite large with 2 bedrooms and baths on separate ends of the house. Plenty of room to gather in the kitchen , den, living room and music room. The property is dated but very well appointed. 8 adults 4 children 9-12 everyone had room to spread out and do their thing. We enjoyed it !!!!

Brief But Pleasant Stay

Nice home, spacious with all the essentials. Patios are very nice overlooking giant sink-hole. Relatively convenient for Chattanooga sight-seeing... Although the road up the mountain to the house was a bit of an adventure. Convenient parking. Accessible through most of the home, but toilets were not the nicer raised kind. Overall we had a good time.

Lovely mountain top home

We had about six family members coming up for a wedding. This house had plenty of bedrooms and beds and bathrooms. It was too cold to sit out back but it has a beautiful view. We actually talked about coming back in the fall and stay in another weekend. Everything was wonderful!

Family Christmas

We traveled with two of our daughters and their families from Wisconsin to spend Christmas with one of our other daughters that lives near Chattenooga. It is an amazing home full of character and history. The drive up the mountain is beautiful. It had plenty of space for for everyone and plenty of room for our grandchildren to play. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook each night and share meals around the large dining table. We took walks around the lake and had fires on the patio. Thank you for having a wonderful place to make our Christmas memorable!

Warmth

The house was very attractive, interior and exterior. The warmth of the house and the warmth of the host were appreciated. We did not use a lot of things, like the TV, but there were opportunities for self-entertaining at all levels. We felt safe and secure. We felt that we could reach out at any time for any help we needed. The cleanliness was appreciated. This house seems to offer "anything to anyone" for any occasion. Made our stay very enjoyable.
