We had a wonderful stay. The place was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The location is fantastic, with beautiful surroundings.
The Seoraksan area around Del Pino is beautiful, with many hiking and sight-seeing opportunities available. The hotel has a variety of onsite dining and entertaining amenities. Travelers from Western countries may find some of the quirks of Korean luxury hotels surprising, if not off-putting. For example, the hotel room shower is part of the sink area, meaning the bathroom floor is always wet, and the bath towels are the size of American hand-towels. And in fact, rooms don't have the kinds of luxury amenities one might expect for the price. Note, also, that access to the onsite pool and hot tub are not included in the room price.
We had 5 ppl and stayed in 2 bedroom. Quiet. spacious livingroom. 2 bedrooms - 1 bedroom with bed, the other with traditional korean futon style. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bath room could be more spacious but we were happy.
You will need a car to get around.
Expansive property with several buildings in a well-landscaped area.
Big lobby and easy check in.
Nice clean room with great view of Seoraksan mountain.
Easy outdoor parking adjacent.
Submit a request for housekeeping, they did not come as we assumed it was standard practice. They will ask for date and time to service. We had to call a few times to confirm. Maybe a first in staying at a hotel for not being an automatic and standard practice or at least it has been a long time. Same for breakfast. You have to reserve one of the time slots and pre-pay. Maybe you can just show up and pay and eat but not sure. Typically that is the case for other hotel breakfast and they bill to your room but does not seem to be the case here. Great buffet, plenty of options. Made to order noodles and vegetables. But a strict adherence to the time slot and you have to depart at the end of it, only about an hour and 15 min so get there at start time. It was 7am to 8:20 and 9am to 10:20, roughly the time slots. Swimming pool is not included and is expensive. A lot for kids to play and a jacuzzi. It is called Ocean Play. There is an indoor spa area segregated by sex. Specific rules with the swimming pool, cannot use spa towels with main swimming pool. Strict adherence to no shoes past locker room entrance. Limited personal belongings in pool area for some reason. They don't bother you about masks in locker room or swimming areas. We arrived late and the hotel front desk had given away our room so we received a room in a lower level in a different tower. Cannot compare the two but assume it was a degrade. Hotel is close to the Mt. Seoraksan national park for walking/hiking, etc.
