Samoëns Soleil Ski Lift Hotels

"Amazing chalet with all amenities you might need. Perfect for families (cinema room, a lot of board games, kids book, and small hill with snow just as garden) and/or ski groups (just 5 minutes by car from lifts). The chalet is in a very quiet area and during snow season you need snow chain to get there or a good 4x4 with winter tyres. Communication with Anne-Claire was great and very friendly. Totally recommend. Also booking via OVO was great and they helped with all queries and resolved an issue whith the booking vvery quick and responsive."

"Brilliant apartment in a great location! Really well equipped for self catering. There was 4 of us (2adults 2 children) and there was loads of room for us plus all our skiing gear. Bed and mattress in main bedroom could do with replacing as could bed linen (and you have to make your own beds) but kids thought their beds were very comfortable! The parking is at the main car park just on the edge of the village but it's not far to walk and you can drive to the apartment to load/unload etc. "

"The apartment was clean, warm, private and welcoming. Facilities for home cooking, plenty of hot water once we got familiarised with it. Very easy walking access to local supermarket, town and ski station. The walk to the ski station is beautiful by the river. Brilliant onsite pizzeria, just right beside the apartment. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The only concern we had was poor lighting on the brief approach to the apartment, with a torch or phone light required until you reach the back entrance. Bridget was very responsive and quick to get back to us. Great host, great apartment. We will definitely return."

"Room was really clean on arrival. Spacious apartment with balcony facing two ways (went round the side of the apartment). Reception staff were all lovely too. I enjoyed the free visit to the sauna & steam room, which was also clean. I didn’t use the pool but saw a group enjoying it while I was steaming away. It’s 2 stops on the bus, which stops right outside the residence. It’s about a 15 min walk from the GME but I often got the bus to ‘Cinema’, did my shopping at the Sherpa supermarche and enjoyed th peaceful walk over the river back to Lagrange. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was SUPER comfy (I’m very fussy with beds!). It was a hybrid mattress that wasn’t too firm or too soft and was thicker than many French places I’ve stayed at. It was extremely peaceful and would definitely recommend staying there. Nothing to groan about at all!"

"Perfect location for town centre. Walking for ski lift. Could book spa for your own personal use. Lovely facility. Comfortable lounge area to sit in. Bar open until 8pm ; little noise beyond this time. Plentiful availability of clothes/towels/bin bags. "

"Clean, tidy, good location for GME. 4 double bedrooms a a family room, all with en-suites, comfortable for 12 people. Nice fire place and hot tub. "

"This was literally the absolute worst hotel (really, it was more like a hostel) that I have stayed in either stateside or abroad. The property only allows you to communicate with them during two short periods daily around check-in and out. Their information indicates check in is not on the property. After needing to call for clarification, we were given a separate address that led us to the same location. There is no parking at the actual hotel because of construction. You have to park down the road. I asked at check in why they did not address this on their site or in communications. They said if we had reserved through them, they would have, but because we reserved through Expedia, "We don't choose to." The hotel is incredibly run down. The room was awful. Everything looked dirty. They give you pachaged sheets and towels (yes, you get the pleasure of bothmaking AND unmaking your own "bed"), many of which were either dirty or had permanent staining. The mattresses, furniture, etc. were all clearly from the hotel's inception probably 50 years ago. Just imagine what those "mattresses" have seen. You get flat sheets to throw over said mattresses. The mattresses might as well be from the days when they were filled with straw they were so hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom sink sprayed you with water when turned on and the shower had drainage issues. The walls were thin. We could hear those around us. There were black beetles on the floor. They charged us 2x for one payment"
