Clean and Good Location

The apt was private and in a great location to everything Solvang. Everything was provided to make it feel like a home away from home. The only thing that I wish there was access to was a broom or a swiffer. Between my child and all the crumbs from the pastries, I was wiping up the hardwood floors constantly.

Great Place - Description Missing Important Details

We originally needed a place for 3 couples, so when I reached out asking if the other cottage was available so we could fit 6 people, the property manager said it wasn't. He nor the listing description ever mentioned a very important fact---There is an additional Murphy Bed in the living room area of the cottage. This could have accommodated our 3rd couple, but instead they had to stay elsewhere because we did not know about it. Also, the description calls this a 2 bedroom cottage. It is actually 2 separate units--only one has a living room, kitchen (and we now know an additional Murphy bed) and the 2nd is just a bedroom & bathroom. We were only there for 1 night, so it worked, but if we booked again with our kids, for example, knowing this info would be very helpful. Also, strangely it originally would not let me book, appearing that my dates were available but then weren't. Then weeks later, I randomly saw that my earlier request was suddenly accepted without notice. Aside from all of this, there are lots of pluses: The property is in a perfect location walkable to everything in Solvang and the cottages themselves are lovely, clean & updated. The gates have a keypad on them, but there are light greenery next to them that anyone can walk by, bypassing the gate to enter the property, but with all that said, we did enjoy our stay and would totally stay there again and would be interested in renting all 3 structures---just need a clearer idea of how many the largest one sleeps.

Nice place for couples

We enjoyed the dual cottages. Nice to be able to split off at the end of the day and recharge. Really good location, nice walk to main shops.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Beautiful, quaint, comfy cottages (I rented both the main cottage & the studio). A block from downtown. We attended a vintage pop-up at the Veteran's Center. It was just a block away! We will stay here again!

Great Home and Location!

We had never been to Solvang before and what a charming Danish theme town. Our place was only 2 blocks off the main road and SO convenient for us. The set up of this short term rental is very nice for 2-3 couples. There were 4 of us, but there is a murphy bed in the living room if needed. There was a minor issue upon checking in but the manager, Michael, called me back immediately and we appreciated that. He was very nice and accommodating. Having the separate cottage gave more privacy. They units have been updated recently and nicely done. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area too. There is no ice maker or trays so I would suggest to future renters to pick up ice before you arrive. However there is a market only about 5-6 blocks away. Bottom line, we really liked this place and would stay there again. Thanks!

Cancelled AFTER check-in and hung up on me.

My family drove 4 hours to enjoy this home. When we arrived and used the key pad, we walked into a home occupied by someone else. When we called the host, he cancelled our reservation and said it was a "glitch." When I asked what we were supposed to do now, he called me a name and hung up on me mid sentence. I called back but he refused to talk on the telephone. The hosts texts were very rude. Beware- ANYONE can enter this property with the door code (they do not change it) and they will double book and cancel your listing leaving you stranded.

Location is Perfect

The finishes in the Laurel cottage are new and very well done. The fact that the 2nd bedroom is a separate cottage just feet away, makes it easy to meet in the main cottage but still have privacy. Perfect for 2 couples. Just a block away from the main part of Solvang, the location is perfect. The property manager Michael was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to any need we had. I would stay here again!
