"This is not a Premier inn, but had character and I slept really well even though the pub faced an A road. My room had been fairly recently decorated I'd say. There was a little kettle in the room, with tea bags and coffee. Small TV , and ensuite toilet and shower. A lovely breakfast was included in the price, which was very reasonable. Nice owner. Close to the Bath & Wsst Showground."

"I’ve wanted to stay at the Webbington for years. Every time I’ve driven past on the M5 I’ve looked across and wondered what it was like. My dad was mildly annoyed when I told him we’d finally stayed — apparently I’ve beaten him to it after about 60 years of meaning to go! Fate eventually brought us here when my wife became unwell while we were travelling home and we decided it was much more sensible to stop for the night. The hotel is an eclectic mix of old and new. It’s a little tired in places, but we expected that and honestly just leaned into it. There’s a traditional British charm to the place, helped enormously by the staff, who were warm, friendly and welcoming throughout. Our room was pleasant and the bed very comfortable. We had good views across the Somerset countryside, although slightly compromised by the flat roof immediately below us! The bar terrace, though, has lovely open views towards Brean Down. The leisure facilities were a real surprise. The gym is dated but very well equipped, while the steam room was insanely hot — exactly as it should be — and the sauna was excellent too. There’s just something about the Webbington. It isn’t polished modern luxury, but it has its own slightly eccentric character and a charm I can’t quite explain. We’ll definitely be back — hopefully under better circumstances next time!"

"Beautiful location, great historical house, huge rooms, and a nice spa. As a whole, a great stay, although it could do with some maintenance and a bit more eye to detail. Staff were wonderful and very helpful."

"It was great EXCEPT there was NO hairdryer in my room (yes I checked all the drawers in everything - Love playing where's Waldo on the hairdryers in the UK) - didn't notice til early the next am 6 am - no one on duty while they offered to bring one up calling number at reception - I was on my way out -"

"Hotel was in good condition, however one of the lights for bedtime reading was blown and the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied, but for one night, it was ok. Food was not the best both breakfast and evening. Breakfast hot food was barely warm and evening was the same after waiting 30mins after ordering and only being us and another couple dining. There was a restaurant next door however they fill up fast and had no spaces for us, hence eating in the hotel. In review....book the restaurant next door ahead of time! Staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful which was very nice."
