Fantastic ocean views!!

We loved being able to see the ocean from all rooms upstairs and hearing the ocean was amazing.

Amazing ocean views

Beautiful ocean views from this house and close proximity to the beach and town made for a wonderful stay for our family. Although dated, the house was well furnished and supplied with all we needed. We definitely would stay again!

Christmas at Shellseeker

This is our 2nd year for Christmas at the Shellseeker! Wonderful home. The views are outstanding. You can hear the ocean from every room, which is very important to us.

Great location, nice house - needs serious updating for safety

We enjoyed our stay. The property is beautifully located and has nice big rooms. The rooms were clean, flowers were on the table and the whales were spouting outside the window. The windows needed a serious cleaning - pressure washing? The deck is NOT safe for small children - the railing cords are very loose. The stairs down to the beach need at least a good railing to be safe. The big rug in the main room and one out of the garage were serious tripping hazards - bent up on corners where someone else tripped before us. A cupboard door was broken off the hinge. The bathtub/shower downstairs was very high sided and not easy for even the adults to climb into. The toilets all need upgrading to taller ones. There was a ripped up couch that needs to be tossed in the master suite - pretty gross. Someone (previous guest? owner?) left a closet full of clothes in the master suite closet and boots and shoes in the garage. The safety concerns MUST be addressed soon or someone is going to get hurt. I have pictures if you need them.

Beautiful views

The place is fantastic! Beautiful views, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and very spacious. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves to fall asleep and wake up to the sights and sounds of the ocean.

Fantastic location. Beautiful views. This was a very nice gathering spot for the family - plenty of room and nicely equipped (except no patio dining table!). As you can tell from the pics, the furnishings are dated, but adequate. The carpets are worn and need cleaning - wood floors would be great in there! Beach access is being restored and will be a welcome addition at the price point. We enjoyed our stay. Make sure Vacasa sends you a picture of where to turn - difficult to find!

Just wonderful

Everything a family could wish for on beach vacation. Great ocean views direct access to the beach, very complete stocked kitchen. Beach is miles long in each direction, and best of all you have the entire beach almost to yourself.

Perfect family getaway

Shell seeker was a great house on the coast for a family weekend. The open living space had wonderful views and was a great place for puzzles, board games and communal meals. The mattresses all felt a little old but overall was a comfortable stay for a weekend. Would rent again.

Seafood and Wine Festival weekend

Needs more signage. We turned into the first place our GPS told us to and we were horrified at what we saw. We hoped that wasn’t it. We drove to the next drive way which did not show the address on the sign and found the house. Cell service was sketchy. Other than that it was a beautiful home and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Well equipped.

One of our favorite places although a little more tired this year. BEWARE: the beach access point has a sign saying it is closed! We used it but if indeed it will be closed be aware there is no convenient public access to the beach

Perfect Coast Getaway

This home was perfect for our costal getaway with family visiting from the Midwest. The house was very spacious and extremely clean. The view was beyond compare and a small pod of whales entertained us right in front of the house for two days. The furnishings were great and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only suggestion would be a house number identifier out at the road to make the correct driveway easier to find. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Great home but not cleaned very well

We arrived on Friday and on Saturday when everyone was taking showers, my dad grabbed a towel that was folded in a cupboard and it had poop on it. I’m not sure if they just leave towels that haven’t been “touched” and only wash what looks like it’s been used after people leave. But it was disgusting. Besides that it was great a trip.
