Holiday Parks in South Eleuthera

"We enjoyed our stay at Parlay Christmas week. We are a family of 6 adults, and 9, 4, 2 year olds and 6 month old. The space was clean, plenty of towels, lots of dishware, even a Christmas tree:). Our littles enjoyed the playroom. The Roku allowed us to log into our own Netflix and Prime. The house front on a main street with some traffic so we were careful the kids did not use the front door. The backyard was gorgeous! Sand and sun, lots of lounge chairs. A few beach toys. Bring water shoes for all because during low tide the beach is 5 feet of coral before sand. When the tide comes up, the littles could wade shoeless along the shore. Enjoyed the kayaks, life jackets, and snorkel gear. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to visit the Glass Window Bridge, which was cool and included a stop at Queens Bath, then lunch at the little roadside Delish Roadside restaurant, which was nice, but wow the food in the Bahamas is expensive. Every restaurant charges 15% tip plus 10% VAT on top of menu price. So glad we packed meat for three meals and lots of dry goods. The no-seeums are a force to be reckoned with, so glad we brought picaridin wipes and Deep Woods. Shop at Duty Free in Nassau for liquor - half the price of island booze. Got the rest and decompression we needed! hope we can return to explore the island more."

"Jethro was very welcoming and informative about the island. He was always available if we had any questions and even rescued us when we had a flat tire! Wonderful host! The charming house was also very clean and great location to beaches."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Blue Palms! We had four generations staying at the house. The house had absolutely everything you needed inside and out. We have stayed at three other homes on the island and Blue Palms provided the most complete accommodations by far. I loved the time we spent in the common area cooking meals, playing games and relaxing together. Each suite felt so private. My bed was so comfortable, I got such great sleep. The gardens and exterior grounds were so well maintained. The pool was lovely and felt so nice at the end of a long day. The outdoor showers were perfect for rinsing off the sand after a day on the beautiful beach. The location on the island was perfect for exploring, dining at many nice restaurants, and picking up some of Island Farm’s famous cinnamon rolls. Maria was very responsive to any questions we had. We got to take home some of her art we found at the local gift shop in GregoryTown. Mercy was wonderful, I feel I have a new friend. We are so grateful that Maria opened her home to us and allowed us to enjoy a week in paradise. If we are fortunate enough to return in the future we will definitely be staying at Blue Palms. "

"Good location. Beach was right across street and beautiful! Jethro was super friendly and gave us lots of tips. Lots of restaurants close by. Reminder that roads here are NOT great to travel on (POT HOLES that would fit bodies). We were not warned of this. Upgrade your rental car- you want an SUV! Bring cash!"

"We have stayed in Winding Bay several times many years ago. This is a relatively new home that includes a 4 bedroom guest house so a great amount of space for all ages. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and all the living areas perfect for those late afternoons before dinner. Outside space is incredible with a huge deck, picnic tables, lounges, chairs, covered area, kayaks, paddle boards, water trampoline, and water toys. There is a large bar/grill area with outdoor tv as well. We rented the large Suburban which the owner had left for us at the airport and was perfect for 7 of us and all our luggage. Winding Bay is the perfect spot if you want to spear lobster and/or fish as it is on the ocean side but protected from the Atlantic. We had lobster ever. single. night. Please note the season opens there on August 1st. This home was just great for our family with ages 6 - 75. The host, Chris, is outstanding and will communicate immediately if asked a question or have a concern. We would do a repeat visit to this compound. As our six year old said, "let's go home for two days and then come back." I agree. Thank you, Chris. It was a terrific vacation."
