A cozy riverfront cottage, Grandfather’s Landing cottage provides it all!

Your charming modern cottage & sleeping cabin on Jacobs Private Island welcomes guests with 2 cozy bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with a bunk bed consisting of a twin top bunk and Queen bottom bunk.
The bathroom features a refreshing steam shower, and eco-friendly incinerating toilet. There's also an additional living room space with a full bed in the loft for extra comfort.
Enjoy WiFi, heating, a full kitchen, bathroom with hot running water, and AC during your stay. Escape to this delightful retreat and create lasting memories.

A sleeping cabin behind the main cottage is available for use with your stay! It contains AC, electricity, wifi, a queen size futon, and a full size bed in a loft.

We look forward to hosting you!

Details regarding transportation to the island will be provided after booking. There is free transport for those who do not have a boat to get to the island and free, limited parking for vehicles being left on main land. Amenities include:

We all had an amazing stay at this cottage!! Check-in was a breeze, and our host, Francis, was exceptional. He loaded us and all of our belongings onto his pontoon, took us over to the island, and showed us around while explaining how everything worked. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it feel just like home - nothing was lacking. The WiFi was impressive and reliable, which was a huge plus when I needed to work on my laptop.We can't say enough good things about his little piece of paradise. Thank you so much, Francis and Lannie! You truly are wonderful people and we can't wait to be back! :O)

Stayed at this private island cottage over the long weekend with friends, and it was honestly perfect. The cottage was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed — fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and plenty of space to hang out.The island itself felt super peaceful and secluded. We spent our days swimming, kayaking, and lounging on the dock. Nights were all about bonfires and stargazing.If you’re looking to unplug and reset with good people in a beautiful spot, this place nails it. We’re already talking about coming back.

Grandfather's Landing was the best experience my family has had with a VRBO property. Francis was a gracious host. You meet him at his home on the Ontario side of the river. A 10 minute pontoon ride kater you are on the island in the middle of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The island had all the toys the kids needed to stay on the water for hours. The property was relaxing. We used the gazebo to watch the big ships go by in the channel. Francis was nice enough to shuttle us back to shore so we could go spend a day in Montreal (an hour away). The cabin was well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. We also made great use if rhe grill on the porch. I couldn't recommed Francis and Lannie's property enough. 10 out of 10.
