「We communicated specifics with the owner, so won't go into full details. The location is great, but that doesn't overcome that it was uncomfortably dirty in many ways. AC went out, so with temps in the 90s the inside was a balmy 82...all night and no way to open the windows. The bottom line is, with this booking there was a higher than normal cleaning fee. When we arrived we expected the place to be spotless. It was the opposite.This is also a duplex. That was not clear to us when we booked....

「We very much enjoyed staying here. We had the mother in law suite part of the house which was more than adequate for our needs. We loved the historic home aspect to the site. 「Perfect house for a group of 7 adults. Lots of comfy seating inside and out on the deck and dock. Well stocked with oil, spices, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Other beds were OK. Dock area is small and not deep water. That didn't matter to us since we went in September. Wifi was very slow but we had 5 people trying to work so more our fault than the house. Overall, an excellent Lake Gaston rental. 」
