Romantic Get Away

The location was just what we were looking for. We have a view of the lake from the deck and it was very quiet at night. We enjoyed the lake access and also the two pools during the day. The underground parking was very convenient.

The condo was great. Nice kitchen, clean and pretty well stocked with pots, pans, etc. The garage area was gross. Very dirty and there was a used condom right next to my car. Overall great, except the garage. Also, no luggage cart was a little annoying but not a huge problem.

Pics are not accurate

Pros: walking distance to town, nice renovation of unit, very well appointed, great communication with management. Cons: bed was so hard they had to change it out for us, bathroom is downstairs, UNIT IS VERY DARK, had to have lights on all day, “partial lake view” is through a tree and over a railing, heat/AC is a unit, not central (loud when on)Takeaway: while this unit was very well decorated and equipped, and management did their best to accommodate us with a new mattress, there is no way to fix the fact that sitting in this unit is like sitting in a hole. And sitting on the balcony means looking at a wall (not the see thru mesh as in other buildings), so partial lake view only happens if you’re standing up. I guess if you’re there to ski and it will always be dark when you’re in the unit, it’s great. But if you’re there in the summer months, I strongly suggest one of the buildings right on the lake. In the end, we ate the money and left early and went to a resort with light and air.

RNR does it RIGHT!

We have stayed in Lakeland Village for decades and RNR has renewed our commitment. Great renovations, excellent communication, pots and pans you would buy yourself, knives that are sharp, spices, soaps, detergents included all on top of the Lakeland location. A GREAT experience, thank you.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came for a "mini-moon" and had an amazing time. This is the first time we have stayed in the Lodge and while the building itself needs some facelifting (dirty carpet, very worn-down and damaged unit doors, old elevator), the loft unit was immaculate and perfect for the 2 of us! We loved the fireplace and used it every morning and evening :)

Relaxing stay in renovated condo close to the beach

Very nice property within a few minutes walk to a private beach (for the complex) Very clean property that has a very nicely renovated bathroom and kitchen. Communication with the host was fantastic, very responsive and always kept us updated on things happening on a very busy 4th of July week. The one key thing to be aware of is that the bedroom is in the loft and the only bathroom is on the main floor. Oddly enough,there is a sink in the loft, but I think the property would have been better off if they would have made the loft closet small and added a toilet too. That being said, its a nice space in a great location with lots of amenities. We will definitely be back to try some of their other properties in the complex.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Super nice, very clean remodeled condo in a very quiet building in a great location. Peak view of lake for beautiful sunsets. Close to great hiking. Have never stayed in a hotel or condo that was so quiet. Made for excellent sleeping. AC was great, as upstairs loft would have been unbearably hot without the AC.Only downside of the condo is the stairs were very steep without a handrail, so felt a bit precarious going up and down. Would not be good for people with mobility issues or the elderly. Minor points for improvement: higher wattage bulbs in the stairs and above the vanities at both sinks, smaller dishes that fit better in the dishwasher, higher quality sheets (but then we did get a free exfoliation treatment after spending 5 nights!), 2 ply TP.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So many reasons to love this unit. First, the location. Lakeland Village is in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, on the lake. You can walk to a wide range of restaurants and cafes, or Stateline, NV. Plus you're near a marina for boating or boat tours, and there is plenty of hiking. We found our unit to be very comfortable and homey for two. It has been recently remodeled so it is modern. It offers AC and a standalone gas fireplace in the living room for heat/ambience. The kitchen has pretty much everything you'll need. The appliances are new. The bedroom, upstairs, is comfy, with its own TV. Everything was spotless. The corner balcony is a nice place for coffee, etc. You can see the lake in the distance. The building offers a pool, but there is another one right on the lake that is just a few minutes' walk. The check-in and check-out process were super easy. Elevator near the room (you never hear it). Easy parking. Throughout our week's stay we received texts asking if there was anything management could do for us, or if there were any issues with the unit. Great customer service. Highly recommended.
