Awesome stay, great property, SUPER CLEAN!

Had an awesome stay. The property was clean, not cluttered. Nothing was dirty or broken, the check-in process was super easy, wifi worked well. This was everything one would hope for from a vacation house rental. 10/10 would rent again.

Weird mgmt and owners

The lock downs on this place were strange and excessive. Lost power due to a storm when the power came back on we couldn't change the thermostat without the code. Reached out could not get the code from the mgmt company or owners. There is an excessive amount of cameras, some weirdly angled at the hot tub. There is not even any salt at the house so be prepared to bring EVERYTHING that is consumed. We could only partially fit two cars in the driveway even though we were allowed 4 due to snow. I asked if it could be plowed to allow for more space and I got a lecture from a "local" manager telling me it was plowed. If it was it did not meet the four space expectations. Half the lights didn't work. Requested them to be fixed and nothing happened. It's hard to cook in the dark. Not sure if the problem is Vacasa or the owners but was not a great experience.

Ritz Carlton Price for a Motel 6 Stay

There were several issues during our stay which I will explain in detail so future renters can make a more informed choice. Early check-in - not allowed! We arrived at 3:00 and knew check-in was at 4:00. Luckily, we didn't hit traffic on our way and arrived an hour early. We asked if we could check-in early and were told no. Ok, fine, I get it. You said 4:00, but we only needed an hour. Refrigerator - took almost 12 hours to come down to temperature. We let the management company know that the fridge hadn't budged from 47 degrees in 3 hours. They contacted the owner who said since the freezer was working, there was nothing wrong with the fridge. At 8:00 the following morning it finally got down to 37 degrees and we were able to store our cold food. Hot as hell in the house - There is no AC in the house. Now, we knew that going into this, but we didn't expect all of the windows to be shut even though the owner knew we were coming. The house stayed warm for the majority of our stay even with all of the windows open! Master Bedroom - Let's start with the bed. The bed is built for giants. I am 5'2" and had to use a step stool to even get on the bed since it was so tall. Even my 6 ft tall husband had a hard time. The bedroom door would not stay closed either. Deck railing is coming apart and is wobbly. Do not lean on this unless it has been fixed. I sent them pictures to Vacasa. This is definitely a safety hazard. My advice - stay somewhere else!

Overall nice

Beautiful home but poor customer service

The house was nice and roomy. Bed was hard. The hot tub was preset to 87 degrees and was unable to adjust temperature. Vacasa customer service was horrible. I explained to them that I had a job interview from 8-11am and asked for an hour extension to 11am (checkout is 10am) and they denied it. I was willing to pay for the extra hour. I called customer service asking if they could accommodate me. The lady on the phone stated “They already told you no. I’m not sure why you’re calling me.” I ended up having to rent an office space for my interview at Untethered which was 25 minutes away for the property.

Comfortable, but gets hot at night

Had a quick stay to end the summer. Key usage timings of breakfast, naptime, and nighttime. Living room was open - easy to sit and relax, and the kitchen had an 80s vibe. Would have given 5*s but docked for random sticky or pokey spots in carpet - tried to spot clean to little success, kitchen drawers were also sticky around some of the pull lips, and couldn't tell if heat was going at night because Nest was PIN locked, so definitely made use of the working box fans that were in the closets (didn't leave windows open at night since bear country - but it was cooler outside). We kept all fans on through the nights. The room with the queen bed got really hot at night compared to other rooms. Overall, would stay again since it fit my families needs.

Great hot tub, kitchen and location!

Great house, perfect for weekend ski trip with a group of friends. Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains but also quite close to Heavenly and the main area of South Tahoe (with the South Lake Brewery halfway between Heavenly and the house), hot tub was private and worked very well. Plenty of towels and blankets for the whole weekend and spacious kitchen. The key code didn't work when we arrived (this had happened to other people too based on reviews) but they responded promptly and resolved the issue immediately. Would highly recommend!

Great home, poor management company

Overall I would have to say that the property is great as well as the location. The home is well stocked with a lot of enjoyable features. However, our family was not a fan of the management company Vacasa. The checkout time is 10 AM which we felt was a bit rushed and there was no option for extending the check out even one hour. We felt that this was a big fail for a company in the hospitality industry. Also, our allergies took a hit which appeared to be from dander and other things in the carpet. The carpet could be much cleaner. The beds were very hard as well as the pillows and all in the family had a little difficulty sleeping. Overall though, we felt that it’s a wonderful home and area and the homeowners have well stocked the home making for an enjoyable stay.

Great house.

Hot tub was incredible. Location is about 10 minutes from town but a beautiful view of the mountains. Lock your car door. The bears know how to break in. They did a fine job of cleaning all of our french fries up off the floor.

Mt Olympia House

Was looking for a spacious and clean home close to the snow and luckily we found this home. Unfortunately, Vacasa sent us the wrong code and I had to call the hotline- representative was helpful and after 15 minutes got the local property manager to call and give us the correct code- very unfortunate. When we entered the home it smelled like someone had a cook off... lots of spices, musty, and a bit stuffy. Other than that home was clean: living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining area. Lots of kitchen items for cooking. There was cute arcade and popcorn machine but NO popcorn to pop, boo. The hot tub was locked and after watching the required video there was no code to unlock. SO I had to call Vacasa AGAIN!!! Other than that, it was spacious, comfy, and great for little ones (high chair and small playpen/bed was useful).

Really nice location

Would have given this 5 stars if the cleanliness was a little better. There was mold build up on the master shower. The keypad lock to get into the house had a low battery and they were very fast to come out and assist. The local location was very helpful, however the (800) number customer service was not as helpful as they could have been. We have a baby so it was so helpful to have a high chair and a pack and play already in the house. If the cleanliness of the house gets better I could definitely see us staying here again.

Beautiful home

House was cozy ,great location there was a few issues with cleanliness of the home the high chair was not cleaned it stuck on food , the master bathroom bathtub didn’t look like it was clean was used pieces of soap and hair other than that everything was great
