The Colosseum

10/10 Excellent

"This stay provided exactly what my husband and I needed for our time here. It was nestled in the community and did not feel very touristy. Everyone we met was kind, especially when you greet them. It was walking distance from markets, malls, etc., including Pelican Shopping Mall, Port Zante, and Independence Square, and Basseterre Public Market. Not to mention the water right outside of the hotel and supermarket beneath the hotel for quick buys. The Colosseum is also walking distance from local vendors and restaurants. Great food, fruits and veggies, and drinks. Our wedding party was on the Southeast Peninsula in the Villas but we wanted to be by ourselves and still close to them. So again, perfect place. You can hear the nightlife, roosters, and cats and still get a great night's sleep. We only had one instance of water bugs in the restroom, but honestly did not bother us. Elsewhere people had issues with lizards and the monkeys, but we did not have this issue here. We would absolutely stay here in the future and highly recommend for anyone who wants less of the touristy experience while still being in close proximity to those places and spaces."

"This property was as described. It had plenty of room, was clean, and had spectacular views. The property is convenient to Cockleshell Beach/Reggae Beach and is near the water taxi to Nevis. It is in a secluded area, which made it even more special. The property owner, Wayne, was very knowledgeable about the island; he was always accessible and great to speak with. Thanks, Wayne! We can't wait to book again."

"Excellent stay at Sugar Bay! The staff were all pleasant, welcoming , and accommodating.. The location is ideal, being located in walking distance to restaurants, the market, and the strip. Our room was cleaned nicely each day and the pool area was well maintained. Would definitely stay again. One recommendation: check to see if it’s seaweed season… other than that everything was top tier !"
