Desk staff....5 star...amazing, room upgrade given after leaky ceiling with wet rug area outside bathroom in the initial room seen. Thank you.
5 Star bed! Most comfy bed ever, in fact, I want buy the same model for my home.
5 star room, gorgeous finishes and comfy, quiet.
Problem area:
Bar: Waitress said she would 'be right with me as I sat at a table." Area was 70 % empty and after 20 minutes I finally decided to sit at the bar. Waitress was noted to be chatty with staff members and at one point deep conversation with a manager? I thought it strange that she did not return. Forgot about me?
Bartender: He spend the entire time at the front of the bar ignoring back the bar area. There were four customers up front already attended to and a few on the sides. I sat in the back where he could clearly see me and after 10 minutes another employee returned and took my drink and dinner order. The drink and food were very good. As someone who tended bar and waited tables decades ago I was surprised at the lack of attention from both staff. I was very comfortable at the LAX Hilton and will return as I don't allow a one time negative experience in one area cloud my opinion. I was very grateful the rest of the staff and generous room upgrade. The shuttle to & from the airport was great with helpful staff. Thank you"
