"This is a relatively expensive golfing hotel. Lovely room, with a nightstand and nice bathroom but no golf channel??? Golf for guests was overpriced. It is very keen on its wedding business to the exclusion of its paying guests. Has a number of rules to suit it rather than its guests. Staff at breakfast were lovely and a good breakfast but elsewhere they were not so guest focused. Our stay could have been a lot nicer for little effort."

"Beautiful hotel. Lobby was impressive, our junior suite was very spacious. The front desk as well as the bell hop were very welcoming. Would definitely stay again."

"Our experience overall was good. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance to everything! The staff was pleasant, but appeared to be working short. Three calls to the main desk were left unanswered. Housekeeping is not done automatically and the front desk informed us that we had to call down to have someone clean the room. As mentioned, those cause went unanswered. Instead, we asked the housekeeping staff directly. Housekeeping staff did not respond to our request to clean the room. We had a double bed, which was comfortable with clean sheets and blankets. There were two other beds available, One was a rollout from under the bed and the other was a sleeper lounge. Our view was not ideal. We overlooked an alley and a dumpster. There was a lot of construction going on around the hotel; however, the noise disruption was minimal. Breakfast was cooked well and there were plenty of choices. For the full access breakfast it cost €15 per person. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be in the middle of town, near city center. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance and there is easy access to public transportation. Check in and check out was efficient."

Clayton Hotel Cork City

"Clayton Hotel was centrally located which made it easy to walk to many places around the city. It is located on the same street as the bus station and a five to seven minute drive to the train station. There are several restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The staff was very helpful. Victor provided us with a map and explained where other places that were not on the map could be found. The hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable. If I return to Cork in the future, I would stay at this hotel again."

"From check in to check out, our stay at the lake hotel was wonderful, very helpful and friendly staff, our room was so spacious with excellent facilities. The entire hotel was very clean. The breakfast room was very well laid out looking out at the fantastic views with an abundance of breakfast options."
