Nice place, good food, breakfast only from 08:30 so not brilliant for business travellers - I did get a breakfast box of pastries (though I'd ordered a bacon butty), which were OK and filled a hole! My dog was made very welcome, but had to be carried up the steps to the rooms only having little paws and not fancying the grated steps.
The lovely lady at the very quiet mid-week bar was really helpful in indicating an excellent local walk - thankyou!
Good location, just shy of any work in Norfolk - overnight parking in the marketplace (free from 18:00 to 08:00, then restricted) was easy and convenient.
Comfortable room, very reasonable price - I'd stay again, but not with my dog when she's too heavy to easily carry up the stairs!

I work a lot in the area and Palmers Ale House is my only choice when it comes to finding somewhere to stay. The food is fabulous, lovely staff and a good selection beers and wines to choose from!

Countryside meander
Long Sutton is a very nice peaceful village. The Ale house was perfect for our needs. The food is very good and with breakfast included it is good value for money.

Return visits don't disappoint
I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've stayed at Palmers and as always the staff were really welcoming. the pub has a great ambience and the food is excellent. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable.

Perfect for work
Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the pub was perfect after a decent drive and the choice of beers were great.
Room was clean, comfortable and breakfast was made for my early check out.
Will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area

Just a small thing, an additional milk carton would be ideal (4) in total, so the tea isn’t boiling for a morning brew

Best place to stay in the area
Nice accommodation, rather small room with only a small top roof window, but very nice and modern bathroom. Super soft bed.

Even though my visit was short the staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival, food was very nice even though it wasn't my first choice. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was nice and comfy. There was a couple of issues with the room, the remote for the tv didn't work, the bed moved about a lot and the ledge above the sink was in the way so was trying to avoid bumping my head to look in the mirror, but overall a very good stay, i would come back. Also Breakfast was very nice
