「Great, quaint cabin, that is well maintained and tastefully appointed. Setting on the covered porch looking out over the trees and pasture made me feel like I was 1000 miles from anywhere. The hobby farm next door was really cool. There were all kinds of animals on the property, many roaming free. I even saw a skulk of foxes as I pulled into the property. A quick 8 minute drive and you were in Carbondale. Very cool.」

「Very cute house and nice area to stay in. Enjoyed the lake and the dock my husband caught a 4 pound bass on a fly rod. He was extremely happy love that it was dog, friendly and easy for my old dog to walk the property overall a very pleasant experience.」

「The property doesn't show that well as you pull into the driveway but it was clean and nice where it really counts. The inside is well appointed and beds were reasonably comfortable. Had everything we needed for 3 nights with 6 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 13. It was just big enough with four of us tucked into the room with the bunk beds. 「Our stay at sailor's hideaway was amazing. We stayed from May 10th through May 15th 2024. The property is situated on a 2 lot corner lot with a frontdeck. Porch has a barbecue and a nice table to sit at to watch the sunset and sunrise. Birds were seeing we saw multiple. Dear mother, dear and not very many books.
