“We had to carry our heavy bags yo the third floor, which was very difficult. A working lift would have been beneficial. ”

“Wonderful stay”

“The bathroom was clean, and the bed sheets were clean, with a lovely smell even in the morning. Heating was on all night, so it wasn't cold in the morning, and after skiing at Glenshee, that warmth was lovely. The fireplace downstairs was so good, and we had a nice chat and watched TV. Great breakfast, and we also had dinner. I got lovely lasagna. The breakfast room looks lovely with a lot of paintings. Books are around, and a lot of small details. It is a new ownership, so they are really……

“Room was clean, functional and every thing worked as should, bathroom was spotless and plenty hot water and clean towels were pure white clean. There was a communal space to sit and have food, bit disappointed bar down stairs was closed ,but not in full season so not major issue. One recommendation is to swap the wood framed bed for a divan based, Badly injured my knee stepping down into the room hitting knee on bed frame as so close to step, this could have been avoided if was a divan which……

“What a quaint and lovely stay we had at the Atholl Palace. This was our only trip into the highlands on this Scottish vacation and it felt like a mini retreat. The scenery was beautiful. We explored all of the footpaths. The staff were very friendly, attentive and worked very hard. The atmosphere was coorie. From relaxing walks to veranda meals to a glass of wine or pot of tea by one of the many fires and sitting areas throughout the lounge and halls. We will definitely come back. A nice walk……

“Yes the property is very dog friendly which we love and the staff are extremely attentive and welcoming the bar has plenty to offer drinks wise and the food and menu are literally out of this world.”

“The property was beautiful, the location ideal for walking all over town and for nice walks in the woods, the hosts were extremely accommodating, friendly and great advise as “what not to miss”. It was a wonderful breakfast with a menu to pick from the night before. It was just an overall wonderful stay and I highly recommend. They bought raspberry jam special for me after the first breakfast when I had requested it and they were out. Extremely thoughtful. Greg and Susan were ideal hosts.”

What we wished for was having some shampoo, body wash, and more toilet tissues than what was left on the holders. I definitely recommend this place. ”
