I came to town with my teen/preteen daughters to do all of the historic Springfield things and this location could not be better for that. The unit has a fun historic charm with enough updates to make it comfortable. The host was quick to communicate and we had not problem checking in or out. There is not a designated parking area for the unit so you either need to pay for parking in a garage or hope for street parking. We were there when Congress was not in session and did not have a problem finding parking on the street nearby but I'm not sure if that would be the case during busier times. Just something to note if you're going to have a car with you. While we enjoyed the charm of the unit, the comfort-level was lacking. There were only 6 pillows and 6 very small bath towels in the unti. I messaged the host and requested more and was told that they don't provide extra pillows or towels. I find this odd considering it's listed as sleeping 7. So if you have 7 people not everyone gets their own pillow and towel? We did not have 7 people but even so the best practice standard is to have more than one per person. This certainly did not make for the "comfortable and enjoyable stay" the host continued to refer to.
