Family getaway

It was nice and roomy and very convenient to the beach. There was a lot of unsightly construction work going on next door and one of the mattresseswas very uncomfortable. Our family did enjoy the trip, however.

Beautiful home with lots of room for our getaway!

We enjoyed the amenities, location was convenient yet quiet away from busy areas. Loved the view & closeness of the beach. We will be back!! Perfect getaway for our group!

Family Spring Break

As usual, had an awesome stay. Enjoyed time with family at the beach, by the pool, and just relaxing at the beach house on the porches. Great time!!

Great beach rental!

We greatly enjoyed this beach house rental. Stayed with extended family including grandparents and grandkids. Short path to the beach, nice pool, plenty of space, grocery store across the street, and St. Augustine historical places a short drive away.

Great stay and location for a family. We had 8 adults, 2 kids. Plenty of space, close to everything in STAUG, ocean views, and Publix just 100' outside your front door makes food/liquor buying a breeze. Just pack your bags and enjoy the moment, made for making memories. If I ever decide to come back to STAUG for another family vacation, I know where I'll be staying.

nice place but fabric needs cleaning

the place was nice and in a good location. the space, pool, and beach access were a plus. Many of the fabrics (couches, carpet, curtains) were dirty and stained. Some of the walls seemed to be in the middle of repair. Except for these things the place was a good choice and was as pictured and described.

Nice spot for a big group but needs some TLC

The house is good for a large group. Location is really convenient to stores, beach, and St Augustine. Love the wrap around porches and 3rd floor porch for the view of the ocean. With that said, the view is of mostly vacant lots and houses. You can really only see the ocean from the 3rd floor. The reason for not giving a better rating are two fold: 1) the house is needing some attention. The walls and furniture are worn. Some of the lights do not work. I assumed it was bulbs but we had enough lighting without them. 2) They had limited towels and no hair dryers. When I reached out to notify the rental company they stated I could buy some and be reimbursed. Not a difficult person, but I was on vacation. I had no interest in shopping for them. That was disappointing. Overall, I could recommend this house for any big group but just be prepared the house may be a little rough in spots.

This home needs some TLC. My main concern was an outlet that didn’t have a cover on it. I mentioned a few things to Brian. Someone came out the next day, not at the time we had set up. There was no cover put over the outlet (we had small children). The solution to the MANY electrical issues this home has was to unscrew the lightbulbs… We had to step over tall weeds to get in and out of the home. The floor vents are rusted. There’s a wall decoration sitting on the floor, missing towel rod, missing door handle, a chunk missing from the flooring going up to the second level, and a screw sticking out of light plate. Someone is also feeding cats in front of the house every few days. Good things include the management team’s response time, the location of the home is great, and if you get the third floor room the view is great. Parking is great. Cleanliness was great. There was a minor ant problem but I do believe there are many pest traps in place so I think this is being worked on. Overall, I would not choose to book this property again.

Vilano Beach House

Pros: Location and size of house were great. It was also very clean. Short 2 minute walk to the beach on a nice path. Publix in walking distance and restaurants super close-a few are in walking distance. The house is in a beautiful enclave of beach homes! Quick drive to St. Augustine!. Lovely clean beach!! The house is dog friendly which we appreciated. Cons: Property needs some work. All adults in our group are homeowners, and some have rented homes so we do understand the woes as well as privileges of home ownership. The kitchen was not well supplied. The listing includes an ice maker but there were no ice makers. There were 2 trays in one freezer. There were no glass wine glasses or a wine opener. The dishes were a mismatched assortment. The main dining table had only 5 chairs for a really large house. Another small table was a high top so chairs could not be interchanged. Many ceiling light bulbs were out. Some of these issues were brought to management’s attention early on but we were told no one could come out. Overall: Our large extended family of 5 adults and two teenagers had a wonderful vacation. The house issues were definitely a nuisance but didn’t prevent our enjoyment as well as a great beach vacation!

2814 Coastal Highway

The property is listed as ocean view, you have to look through the palm trees to see a sliver of the ocean. House needs to be cleaned. Cookware is very sparse and old, does not cook well. Dryer does not work, sliding patio door off living very difficult to open. Light on living room patio is a strobe light. Two bedroom downstairs if you turn lights on in one room, turns the other one off and vice versa. Master bedroom toilet run constantly. House in need of repair!!

Family vacation

I booked this property for a trip with my son and daughter and their families, and it was absolutely perfect. The 3 floors gave each family their own level so we all had some privacy when needed. The second level has the kitchen and living space with plenty of room for everyone. Our favorite part was the porch on that level, we had 4 toddlers under 4 and since it was the second story it had no outside exit, we could all relax while they ran around. The pool was gated and right by our unit plus the beach was a quick walk down the path. The reviews I saw prior to going said there weren't many towels but there were plenty in all the bathrooms and for the beach. Thank you Brian we had an amazing family vacation and will definitely be back!

Perfect family beach vacation spot

Ideal setup for a big family group- just steps to the beach, and right across the street from Publix. Comfortable, roomy, clean, well equipped. Bring your beach chairs and umbrellas. The pool is shared with the other houses, but we barely used it.

Saint Augustine

Loved the space for the family and enjoyed the wrap around decks. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach to catch the sun rise and relaxing setting. There was plenty of parking for the family, room to spread out to sleep.

College Reunion

The house was great. We were a group of 7 friends and each had our own comfortable bed. Conveniently located a very short walk to the beach and grocery shopping, an $8-10 Uber ride to Old Town St. Augustine. Nice decks with views of the ocean and well equipped. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion is to consider supplying beach chairs and umbrellas, or provide details as to where these can be rented.

Great location

Great location… close to St Augustine and restaurants. Right across the street from Publix, a pizza restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. Just a short walk to the beach. We love Vilano Beach. Only downside was some electrical issues with lights not working properly and outlets not working, but we let the property management know after our stay. Would definitely stay here again!
