Great location!

This is a great place to stay when you are looking to be close to the downtown area. There are so many places to go within walking distance which we loved versus having to pay for parking everywhere we went.

Lovely room with all amenities needed. Prefect for a 2/3 night stay. The King size bed was one of the tye very best we've slept in. We slept like babies. Enjoyed our little patio a lot. Overall, we will absolute retun someday soon and would reccomend to everyone.

This little place is in a very good location at only a mile from Historic Downtown St. Augustine. The place was very clean and functional. Everything worked properly. This little place was good for my wife and I to enjoy New Years in Historic St. Augustine.

Tell your mom want to know that loved the convenient location to downtown St augustine. Nice quaint very clean room. The host was very communicative. Pet friendly! Perfect for a quick stop to tour St Augustine!

The room was perfect for our stay. We were in town for a concert and it provided a comfortable room with a refrigerator and microwave to relax in before the concert and come back to for the night. We would definitely stay again.

Sweet Stay in St Augustine

Our accommodation was perfect for the two of us and our pup. Great location and an easy 20 minute walk to the heart of old town St Augustine. Very safe area with a very well appointed rental unit. Super happy that our host had provided a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very nice! It was safe, comfortable, and clean! Served the purpose as evacuees from Clearwater! Comfortable Lanai for morning coffee! Only complaint is parking it tight for a full size truck! Thank you to the host!

The Gem was more than I actually expected. Plenty of room for a small space. Bed was very comfortable. Accommodations were really good. Communications with property manager were excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

It really is a hidden gem!

It was perfect for what we needed! I definitely recommend it! It is central to downtown St Augustine and surrounding area. The host was very nice and accommodating! If I could change one thing it would be to update the bed or add a box spring, we were able to sleep pretty good but a box spring would help for those who would prefer a firmer bed. Otherwise it was still amazing and Thank you to the host!

We enjoyed the location of the Old Town Gem and the facility had everything we needed for a short one-night stay. The main criticism we had was that when we pulled back the bedding, we found several black hairs on the sheets which lead us to believe the sheets had not been changed since the previous occupant. As such we slept on top of the main bedspread.

Would be 5 ⭐️ with a Deep Clean

Neighborhood is quiet and close to all major attractions. Home is attractive with private parking, a mini fridge, and private courtyards. The room was adequate size and the bed was comfortable. The host was very responsive and communicated well. However, the property has aged since the pictures were taken. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning of the walls, grout and shower tile to clear the mildew/mold accumulated in the wet areas. I shared these concerns with the host upon check-out, but this one time I didn’t receive any response. I sincerely hope they address these concerns because we would book this home exclusively when we are in town.

Secluded Place Near the Historic Center

This was a small space in a large blue house with 6 individually accessed units, perfect for couples, in a quaint, secluded neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Historic Center. This was great since free parking in the center is very sparse. We wound our way along the narrow streets of a sweet neighborhood to arrive at Fort San Marcos without having to walk on busy avenues. The neighborhood itself has its delights; a full moon block party was organized by a nearby store called The Widow Abbott. St Augustine Beach is also a 10 to 15-minute drive. The room was clean and pretty, recently remodeled. The shower was hot. Check-in was a breeze. Everything was as advertised, fairly priced, and Suyen was available via text and phone to provide any additional information we needed. We met her outside once during our stay as she was tidying up the common area outside. She was super pleasant. The negatives: We opened the blinds behind the TV in the mornings to allow plenty of light, but the next-door neighbors could ostensibly look in (they didn't). The January weather had been cool and damp just previous to our stay; perhaps that is why a couple of mosquitoes hovered in our room. The bed is comfortable, a bit soft-ish, and very squeaky if you get frisky. This is a great value and great for anyone who likes to walk around and explore!

Overall we enjoyed our stay with how close it was to downtown St. Augustine. The room was the perfect size for me and my wife for a long weekend stay. However the bed was not comfortable, the middle sagged quite a bit making us slouch in the middle of the night and was very loud when you moved around and made it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. The shower head was not very clean as well as the walls in the bathroom had some kind of substance running down them.Despite this we still had a great weekend away.

Great value for the price paid on the dates we stayed for location above all else. About a 12-minute walk to the historic uptown shops & Columbia restaurant - with other fun shops along the way. Also walkable to pizza (right next door) and Mc Donald’s for morning coffee. Room itself (unit 3) was adequately stocked for a basic room. Welcome mat on unit next to us was falling apart, which was a comical first impression. Cleaning person removed it after guest left (good call).A little additional lighting for the path to back parking would be a great addition. Overall a good value for a basic room that was affordable and close to what most would want to see and do.
