Adorable Cabin that sleeps four. Roscommon is 12 miles away and has hiking trails and kayaking/canoeing on the Ausuble River. St. Helen is surrounded by State land so great place to hunt or fish. Thirty minutes from Higgins Lake, which is the 6th most beautiful lake in the U.S. Grayling is about 30 minutes away and offers canoeing as well. Houghton Lake is near by and we are minutes from West Branch, an hour from Traverse City and and an hour and half to the Mackinaw bridge. Lots of hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing within 30 minutes. ORV trails are at the end of the street. St Helen offers a county and State beach that is 1.5 miles away. They also have a boat launch and kayak launch. Great place to relax by the fire.

Great Little Cabin!
This was a great little cabin and the owner was easy to contact with any questions. The neighborhood is adorable, quiet, and close to gas stations and a great pizza place. The interior of the cabin is adorable, we didn't use the fire pit or the wood-burning stove, but there was firewood available. We had a great stay but any more than two people may be a little cramped.

Loved this cute and cozy cabin!
This cabin was just perfect for a short getaway. Very relaxing, comfortable and quiet. Had everything I needed in the kitchen to make some meals. Brought along roasting forks and a pie iron and I enjoyed s’mores and pizza pies over the campfire one night. Hosts were very responsive to any questions I had. Nice chairs and a picnic table in the backyard made spending time around the campfire very relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Cute Cabin, but extra charges that were not accurate and cold.
The pictures matched and the size and layout of the cabin were perfect. It's definitely not a kid friendly cabin though, and I wouldn't recommend young kids here with all the glasses and dishes down low. I was also charged an extra $30 for unwashed dishes, and I made sure I clean everything I used before we left. Will not be staying here again.

The cabin was adorable and cozy. Quite comfortable. Quiet, comfy bed. Able to cook some meals but close enough to grab a bite at local eateries. Hope to stay here again in the future.

Best vacation ever
Wonderful property- adorable cabin and it felt like we were in the woods with the trees surrounding the fire pit in the backyard. It’s just a few streets from the main road but it felt so private. The local lakes were all we hoped for and more. Everything was so convenient and close. We didn’t realize we came in the middle of the ORV Jam weekend but it inspired us to try renting a side by side ourselves for an afternoon, which Chris at St Helen Motorsports made so easy. We kayaked, swam and biked, all within 45 minutes of the cabin. I’ve never spent time in this part of the state, but I will definitely be back, and I hope this cabin will be available when I do. Ten stars.
