I had an amazing stay at Le Roy Barbados. The location is perfect- just steps from the beach with stunning views. The surrounding area is vibrant and full of great restaurants, all within easy walking distance. There’s also a nearby bus service, making it simple to explore the island without any hassle. The staff truly made the experience special; they were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. A special thank you to Alana, Deonne , and Phil who truly elevated the experience.

The oceanview rooms that are assigned for Expedia guests are situated at the front of the hotel (closest to the street), so at night you will hear everything that's going on outside (street noise, karaoke bars etc...). If you want a better positioned room, book directly from the hotel website. If you're travelling solo beware of the beach manager. Depending on the day, he may "suggest" that because you're travelling solo, you should agtee to share an umbrella with another solo traveller (who's a complete stranger). That way, he can keep the dual sunloungers open for people travelling as a couple. Upon checkout I made a complaint to the General Manager but I'm not sure if any steps were taken with the beach manager. As a solo female traveller, based on this experience alone, I wouldn't go back to this hotel.

The coolest part about the penthouse is the view and waking up to the sounds of the waves. Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, was interesting. You can hear the noise from the corner bar which didn't bother me. I actually thought it was great because the rooms were so peaceful but there's so much happening downstairs that if you wanted to, you can go and grab a beer and watch a soccer game with some locals. Everyone was really chill! Having a restaurant and bar onsite was clutch. The breakfast options were ok. Lunch options were good and the dinner options were probably best, if I had to rate it. Location is excellent and close to the airport. What makes this hotel really special is the staff! From the initial check in staff to everyone in between. Kemar and Keisha were lovely at the restaurant and bar area! There was another bartender that my husband was chatting with that even remembered him and asked me to say hi to him the following day. Sadly, I didn't catch his name but I thought that was a nice touch. The live music on Saturday night was great, and we even danced with some other hotel guest. Happy Hours twice a day was also spectacular. I would definitely recommend this place and wish I could come back every month!

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint little hotel located right on the beach. Our room was clean. Definitely not fancy if you are going for the pool, DON’T but the bar /restaurant, beach, happy hour were great. Staff were friendly and accommodating! If you love the Hilton than this hotel is NOT for you.

Hotel La Roy! Will I Return: Absolutely! I never travel into another culture thinking it should be as the culture I was born and raised in. Aside for some minor mishaps, this boutique hotel was perfect for me. I read through the reviews before electing to spend my 60th birthday in Barbados, St. Lawrence Gap at this hotel. The front desk attendants were all exceptionally kind to "everyone." I can also say the same for Allison, Dawight, Sean and the rest of the team members at the bar and restaurant area. Additionally, we got the chance to meet and chat with the hotel manager, whom I'd like to take a moment now to remind him to give the front desk team monetary raises 😉. So! Let's get down to business! If you recall, I previously mentioned that I read through all of the reviews beforemy decision to stay at this hotel. Reviews talked about hotel upgrades, cracks in the door frames, noise from a neighboring venue, lack of responsiveness from room attendant. Of the items listed, lack of responsiveness from room attendant bothered me the most. When we arrived (first day) I could see visibly see hair belonging to the previous guest(s) along the edges of the floor. Sand and grit was everywhere and I could hear it under my shoes as I walked across the room front the door to the patio. There were 4 towels, two regular sized and two beach sized. The regular sized towels reap of the smell of damp and mildew and they too had hair on them. At the time I did not know the attendant

Clean rooms, very nice shower room, lovely view, fabulous beach, awesome staff, great onsite bar and restaurant serving some of the best food in St Lawrence Gap. Big shout out to our very lovely room cleaner and Sharron in the restaurant for always making sure we had our 12oclock table reserved and Phil on the beach making sure all the residents had sunbeds and a happy stay. I absolutely loved this place - big enough to provide the right services and small enough for every guest to matter.
