Heat didn't work in room, it was freezing and parking is $30. Other than that the hotel is beautiful, the rooms aren't bad I guess. Looks like an old school New York room from back in the day. Watch your step when going in and leaving the bathroom

The front desk staff set the mood for the stay and they were wonderful especially Lois. Our room was on the 8th floor east side with view of building across the street. Room was clean and very comfortable. Convenient to restaurants, the arch, in downtown so walking distance to local attractions.

I needed an affordable hotel within an easy walk of the Convention Center. This property met that need; the price was reasonable compared to nearby hotels, and a leisurely walk to Americas Center took me all of ten minutes. My room was a bit tired and dated, but I wasn't there that much. There was quite a lot of overnight noise from the busy street outside, even on a high floor. There was a step up to the bathroom that could have been dangerous, no warning. Speaking as a woman who travels for business, the area around the sink and mirror were not laid out conveniently for my needs--very little space for toiletries or makeup in the bathroom, and the shelf below the mirror was one where things tended to roll off into the sink. Also, there was no full-length mirror in the room. I did not try the breakfast because it was too expensive, and on the one day I seriously considered it, it did not begin until 8 a.m. on Saturday--too late for my conference schedule. Fortunately there are options within walking distance. Similar comment about lunch and dinner: pricey, which you do not know until arrival at the hotel, since the restaurant(s) do not post their menus online. Again, there are options within walking distance. I'm still satisfied with my choice of where to stay, but I'm not sure I'd stay again; not solo-female-traveler-friendly.

Love the "club" feel of this property. Lots of dark wood, ornate trim. It's so convenient to walk to the America's Dome. Rooms are all unique and kind of old fashioned but in keeping with the whole vibe of the place. We'll be back!

The breakfast and the lunch buffet were out of this world. Couldn't be better. The parking was wonderful, although we were charged for it and it was supposed to be covered for vendors. The drag racing that went on all through the night and the early evening hours was ridiculous but certainly not the fault of the venue. The room was clean and the water was a hot as anyone would want.

This building is old and it shows. It needs some serious updating, for the price you pay one would expect they would have the swimming pool open but it was closed the day we arrived and the next day before we left, having to pay extra for parking is a turn-off. The guest does not have control of the AC because it appears the system is synchronized to the rest of the building. Overall we were not happy with this place and will not return to stay here.
