Welcome to the heart of Lydia Mountain Lodge, where every room carries its own nostalgic personality. “Southern Belle” – Room 101 is designed with grace, charm, and comfort in mind — a space as timeless as its name.
Located on the main floor for easy access, this beautifully appointed room features a king-size bed, a full bathroom with tub and shower, and a private balcony overlooking breathtaking over-the-mountain sunrise views. Start your morning with a fresh cup of coffee while watching the light roll across the Blue Ridge.
For your convenience, the room includes a microwave, mini refrigerator, and single-cup coffee maker, making it easy to settle in and stay awhile.
Unwind in the lodge's stunning wood-burning fireplace mezzanine, perfect for cozy evenings and quiet moments. When you're ready to dine, simply stroll downstairs to Bearrr Appetit Restaurant, located on the lower level, with spectacular mountain scenery.

We enjoyed our stay in the Sothern Belle room for the night. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate at the Bear Appetite for dinner and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the meals and the gorgeous view!

We meet Effie shortly after we arrived just by happenstance. She was very warm and inviting. So much so we wound up meeting many of her and her husband friends and family during it stay. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing Stay

My wife and I used to live down the street. We never knew how nice the lodge is and how amazing the restaurant is. Honestly we would have gone there to eat all the time if would have even known it was there. It is the best restaurant in the area by far. Their omelettes are big and very flavorful, but the burger was probably the best burger I have had in a very long time. My wife loved the chicken pimento cheese egg rolls. If you are a local check out the restaurant, we wish we would have when we lived there. The sever was really good, forgot her name. There are cabins and rooms at the lodge. We stayed at the lodge and the room was very clean. Each room is designed differently, the views from the balconies are amazing. Also I can tell it would be a great place to have a wedding at. Very impressed by the whole operation that this place offers.

Wonderful!

This was a very impromptu stay. I was chasing the Northern Lights and decided this was the place to stay for the evening. No lights but what a picturesque, quiet property, and I was treated to an amazing sunrise! My room was perfectly decorated. I will definitely be back!

We had a great and relaxing weekend! So nice to see familiar faces. Josh was helpful from the moment we walked in. Cadence did a super job attending our table outside both for dinner and breakfast. Nice stay

The room is fun but perhaps a bit too much “stuff” made for a cluttered feel. What was missing were hangers! A rod in the closet was bare, never saw that before, you should have hangers in the room.
