Palo Alto Stanford Maples Pavillion Hotels

"My stay at Nobu Hotel Palo Alto was good overall, though it didn’t fully meet top-tier expectations. The hotel is clean, well-designed, and has a calm, refined atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable with a nice Japanese-inspired minimalism, and the subtle scent throughout adds to the experience. Service, however, was inconsistent. Staff were polite, but follow-through was lacking. I requested dishes be cleared from my room multiple times even in person and they remained for over 24 hours. It felt like a gap in execution rather than intent. The restaurant was mixed. The miso cod was well done, but other dishes, like a trout I ordered, were overly oily. Service there also didn’t match the level you’d expect. Breakfast was decent but slightly inconvenient, requiring a short walk outside, and the large communal tables felt oversized for solo dining. Overall, it’s a solid hotel with strong design, but it falls short of the consistency and refinement expected from a truly high-end stay."

"Checking in was easy, staff were friendly. The room has been renovated and was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Free parking and close to Stanford University is a plus. There is constant traffic noise from the street but at manageable level. Overall very good experience, especially for the price. "

"One-hundred-year-old hotel in the heart of Palo Alto, with walking to all the shops, Whole Foods, restaurants and the theater. The rooms are comfortable, the beds very nice, and the staff is terrific. If you don't have a car, it's a perfect location."

"A gorgeous hotel…we always love staying here! But this time, the shower water pressure was mild, not strong enough to wash ladies’ medium-long hair. All bath towels, wash cloths and hand towels were too rough..they must be new, as they were never like this before. The small hand towels in the Gym are very soft and lovely. The A/C system needs adjusting, since on Low and High it’s super noisy and blows air super high. On Medium it blows almost no air. It wasn’t like this in other hotel sleeping rooms in the past, so we think it was only this room, The Bar and Restaurant are so super delicious! We love dining here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! The Staff is so nice and helpful! It’s a fabulous hotel to stay at, close to everything, including Stanford Shopping Mall."

"Really limited amenities. The room was nice but basic. No lights by the bed. There were reading lights but no bulbs. No info on the tv .. there was a remote behind the tv that allowed Netflix etc but we stumbled around to find it. Minimal towels .. nice breakfast in the morning and coffee .. it was quiet and it worked for our needs . My husband was in Stanford for a procedure."
