Beautiful Winter Quebec Getaway!

We arrived in February during some pretty cold weather days (-20 F). Fortunately, the VRBO was so cozy, beautiful, and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in and relaxing. It was just a lovely place to be. The view of the lake was very pretty and also a neat place to watch the cold wind whip across the frozen water. It’s in a great location. Close to magnificent skiing, skating, and snowshoeing. The bedrooms were comfortable. Even with the cold temperatures the VRBO was warm and not drafty. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely go back!

A magnificent place on the water's edge, I would love to return there in summer to enjoy the lake which seems very clean to me. Quiet place and the living spaces are quite large. However, the interior and exterior finish leaves a lot to be desired. We see that this was done very quickly and with the sole aim of renting as quickly as possible. The game of basketball is broken. The kitchen was very well equipped

Nice and confortable

Loved the property, the backyard with the acces to the lake! Fenced, so great for my dog. Nice play area inside, but the games, like the ping pong table, were in very bad shape. Few essentials were not there, apparently not included in the renting fee: salt, pepper, can opener, kleenex, and enough toilet paper for 5 people for a 3 night stay. Not sure about the water... next time, I would bring bottled water !

Our family had a wonderful end-of-summer stay at the Chic Shack. Communication with the owner was excellent from the time of booking and they sent a few notifications ahead of check-in with more details about the house. The house is nicely styled, comfortable, and in an excellent location right on Lac Lovering. It's also well-stocked, including paddleboards and a paddleboat, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The other amenities that we appreciated were the hot tub, grill, and media room - with large sectional, projector, and basketball.One area that could use some improvement is the WiFi and cable/satellite, as it sometimes worked smoothly and other times wouldn't work at all - however, we also understand that the enjoyment of staying somewhere less populated means signal might not be the best. A good opportunity to unplug for a bit!Also - if planning on bringing a dog(s), the yard is not fenced. Our pups still enjoyed spending time in the yard and walking out on the dock.Overall, an excellent stay! It was our first time in the Eastern Townships and we'll be sure to be back!

Nous avons appprécié la salle de séjour spacieuse et la cuisine à aire ouverte ou nous avons cuisiné nos repas des fêtes. La cyisine comporte aussi de nombeux ustensiles de cuisine ( bonne quantité de chaudrons, poêlons, bols, etc.).Nous avons aussi bien profité du spa extérieur avec nos tuques et avec vue sur le lac enneigé. Nous avons passé de très beaux moments. Merci à nos hôtes.

Chalet situé directement sur le lac, magnifique vue ! Super agréable de prendre un verre sur le quai ! Grand terrain pour faire des jeux extérieurs ! Cuisine bien équipée. Ce chalet ne comporte qu’une seule salle de bain complète pour 8 personnes (la salle d’eau supplémentaire est minuscule) ce qui peut parfois créer des embouteillages ! Je vous suggère d’apporter vos serviettes de bain, à mains et linges à vaisselle… les serviettes disponibles sur place sentent toutes le moisi !

Propriété pour très petit groupe avec une magnifique vue sur le lac. La cuisine est bien équipée, les lits sont correctes, le mobilier extérieur est confortable, très calme et près de tout à courte distance. Un parasol pour l'extérieur, des petits bureaux et lampes de nuit seraient appréciés ainsi qu'un bon ménage du four car le détecteur de fumée est partie à quelques reprise durant notre séjour. Pour un séjour optimal, une belle grande salle de bain avec commodités serait bien car une salle de bain est trop près de la cuisine pour l'intimité et l'autre laisse à désirer.
