Come Live on the farm

The Farmhouse provides a restful atmosphere in the Starke area. Our three bedroom, two bath home is ideal for families passing through for family holidays, girlfriend getaways, funerals, weddings, and romantic getaways. This home is a collection of rustic farmhouse style with the modern conveniences. It allows visitors to step into the country and enjoy the peace and quiet of farm life. Enjoy the view across acres of pasture from the sun porch or sit in front of the fireplace for a romantic night. Enjoy quiet nights and early mornings listening to the neighbor’s cows. It’s been said “it’s like walking into a hug.”

Built in 1970 this home was part of a working farm for 29 years. Beautiful, handmade barn doors grace this home with classy farmhouse elegance. Come join us for fabulous sunsets across the pasture.

As a renter, you are required to abide by the following rules. Please take time to review these, as failure to abide may result in immediate termination of the contract without refund
1. Check-in is at 4:00 PM on your first rented day
2. Upon arrival, please check the house for any damage, uncleanliness or issues. If you find anything, please report those immediately to the owners!
3. No smoking in the house, NO pets allowed of any kind!!

4 Do not try to clean the copper sink in the hall bathroom! That means do not scrub or put any cleaners on it…

5 The barn is not included in the rental, please don’t enter. Do not enter the adjacent fields with livestock, this is not our property.
6 No parties are allowed on this property
7 No trespassing on Neighbors property.
8 Items in this house are for your use, but use with care.
9 Trash will be picked up on Thursday by the garbage company.

Check out policy
1. Please strip the beds and put used towels on the floor.
2 Please start the dishwasher before you leave.
3 Please check out by 12:00 PM on your last rented day
4Turn off lights, fans before leaving. Please turn A/C thermostats up to 80°. Or Heat down to 60
5 Make sure all windows and all doors are locked when you leave
6Please return key to lock box using the code you were given.

One of a favorite places to stay anywhere.
We love to travel. Never hotels. Always renting people’s places. Farmhouse is a highlight every year. We come at least twice in the fall for hunting trips. Most years we visit 4-5 times. Kim has always been an amazing host and the house is clean, comfortable and has everything we need. Highly recommend if you want to disconnect from the city life.

The house was great. Very peaceful location yet close to town. The kitchen had everything that you could need. The host even provided coffee and all the supplies. The host always responded quickly to messages. We would definitely stay here again!

A/C emergency help
Our A/C died in the middle of July, which is a major emergency for anyone living in Florida. Our host family worked with us to get us into the house as quickly as possible. They checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay. The house is charming and the view into in surrounding pastures is lovely. Would highly recommend!!

Cozy and clean
The farm is a wonderful home filled with all the amenities we needed. When you arrive to the property you will be greeted by a horse, some cows, and a donkey. You can see they are well taken care of. They aren’t part of the stay but it’s wonderful to come home and see them. The property is well maintained, clean, and spacious. Thank you for having us! We had a wonderful time.

Country life in Florida
My husband and I have stayed in many rental places over the years and this place by far tops them all. We stayed 2 months and couldn't have been happier. To be able to enjoy the Florida temps and sunshine while being in the country was the best. It was very peaceful with our nearest neighbors being a horse and a couple of cows. We loved the backyard and were able to enjoy many days of grilling, campfires in the evening, and on some very cool nights even a cozy fire in the fireplace. The Farmhouse was very clean and well stocked with all the necessities you would ever need. We really liked the open floor plan and the bedrooms on opposite ends of the house. It was great when guests were visiting. The beds were very comfortable and all the bedding and towels were of high quality. The surrounding area has many great restaurants and much to our enjoyment some awesome paved bike trails. Kimberly the owner was an absolute gem. If we had any questions, she was quick to respond and was always happy to give us suggestions on places she thought may be of interest to us. It was sad to leave this wonderful place and the friends we made, but knowing we'll be back someday made it easier. Thank you Kimberly for letting us call The Farmhouse our home.

Great Property
Clean, quiet, and comfortable farmhouse in a great location. Enjoyed sitting around the fireplace and the fire pit with our friends. Very nice kitchen, stocked with all the equipment necessary to cook for our group. Kimberly and her family were outstanding and helped us feel at home.

Great Place
This is our second year staying at this property for the holidays and we just love it! The quietness of being in the country takes away all the stress of living in the city. The house is laid out perfectly and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. The porch is always a nice place to hang out even in the rain and the back yard has a nice fire pit. The bedrooms are large and comfortable.

Farm Getaway
We had a an Five Star stay. We were competing on Lake Sampson Rowell in a Kayak Bass Team Series. Staying at the Ranch was nice during our practice sessions. Seeing all of the cattle come up to you was relaxing. We even got a Donkey to come up and take some pictures with our Sunshine State Swamp Donkeys Jersey on!! We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Property!
We were in area visiting family. This property was perfect for the 6 of us. From my 82 year old mom to my 8 year old granddaughter. My granddaughter loved mooing at the cows and petting them and the donkey when they would come to the fence. Kimberly and her husband were just fantastic and the best hosts ever. Would highly recommend this property for anyone.

What a beautiful retreat!
We stayed at the farmhouse during the week our daughter in law graduated from the Univ. of Florida. This home gave us such a beautiful, peaceful place to rest each day & make some memories together. Kim is a wonderful responsive host. She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Cannot say enough good things about this place. We do hope to return in the future!

The property was just as described. Kimberly was very attentive to all details and made our stay very enjoyable. We had trouble getting on the WiFi once she found out about it, she had the issue resolved within 45 min. location was quiet and pleasant. We all were talking about going back next year. Very enjoyable to get away to the peaceful country surroundings. Deer, turkeys and quail wander around the property.

~Peaceful Easy Feeling
March 2023 - It was difficult for us to leave behind this sanctuary! A blissful getaway from the hustle of city life. No sounds of traffic, sirens, helicopters and no long lines, anywhere! Looking for country life, here it is! This split plan home is immaculate, cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated in farm/ranch motif. Kimberly, (& Mike) have thought of everything to make your stay at their house, your home away from home. The kitchen is stocked with all the equipment you need to cook for a large family, right down to the rolling pin! All roads are paved and well maintained. The home is private, situated acres away from neighbor's. Town and convience store are minutes away. The water is good and the showers are awesome! Dark nights, starry skies. Cows, turkeys, songbirds, deer and a gentle horse, "Handsome". We enjoyed the back porch, rocking chairs and taking it all in. It was the perfect peaceful, easy feeling we were looking for. Definitely, a return visit is in order, we loved it!

Amazing Vacation Home In The Country
We experienced a very quiet and relaxing week at "The Farmhouse". There were beautiful sunsets, spacious rooms, awesome showers and even a TV with Lifetime and Hallmark shows. The chef's kitchen was perfect for making meals and it was nice to be able to invite my daughter and her family, that live nearby over for a ham dinner. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths we were each able to have our own bedroom. Walmart and Aldi's in Stark are only 8 minutes away, which was very convenient. The owners responded quickly, if there were any questions. We will not hesitate to visit again!

charming, unique and accessible
Traveling with a wife who relies on a manual wheelchair, it is always a challenge to find appropriate accommodations. The Farmhouse did not disappoint. The small lift over the threshold at the front door did not pose a problem, and with my help we could enjoy the back porch, even though it was a step down. The master bedroom and bath with the amazing walk-in shower were fully accessible. The other bedrooms and bath were not so much, but we did not need to use them. The Farmhouse is a little off the beaten path, but conveniently close to towns with their restaurants and stores. We especially enjoyed riding on the near-by rail-trails with my bike and her recumbent trike. The old tractor and horse in the barn lent themselves to the country feel as did the flock of wild turkeys who frequent the pasture most mornings and evenings. The house is uniquely and creatively decorated to add to its charm. Kimberly was very generous with the supply of paper products and a supply of some of the best coffee I have ever had. Kimberly and her husband Mike live close and stopped by a couple of times to be sure we had everything we needed. It was instantly like visiting with old friends. A mild illness had delayed our arrival by a day, and Kimberly even refunded our fee for it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse, and you will too!
